Creative Strategist

Naniza
Posted 5 hours ago
🌍Europe🏠Remote📁Marketing
Is this job info correct?

Naniza is a marketing studio for consumer brands. We work across Growth Strategy, Paid Media, Creative Lab and CRO, combining strategic work with AI-native workflows. We've managed €42M+ in ad spend for DTC and ecommerce brands across Europe, the US and beyond. We're small, senior and AI-native: little hierarchy, high ownership, and real influence over how the work gets done.

We're looking for a Creative Strategist to own the thinking behind our paid social creative — the layer between the data and the work. You'll turn performance signals, consumer research and brand codes into concepts, angles and hooks that win in the feed, and you'll decide what we test next and why. This is where analysis meets craft: you're as comfortable reading a creative report as you are rewriting a hook until it stops the scroll.

You'll work directly with the founder, our paid media side and our creative production workflow. And because we're an AI-native studio, part of the role is building the system with us: developing internal workflows with tools like Claude Code and Codex so that research, concepting and briefing run faster and sharper every month.

What you'll do

A few examples of your responsibilities:

  • Set the creative direction per brand. Translate each brand's positioning, audience and performance history into a clear creative thesis: which angles, which formats, which voice.
  • Generate concepts, angles and hooks. Feed a steady pipeline of testable ideas for statics, short-form video and UGC — each grounded in an insight, not a hunch.
  • Write briefs that ship. Turn concepts into production-ready briefs — hooks, scripts, storyboards, references — that our producers and AI workflow can execute without guesswork.
  • Read the numbers and close the loop. Analyze hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA and ROAS per creative, diagnose why winners win and losers lose, and turn that into the next round of concepts.
  • Own the testing roadmap. Decide what gets tested, in what order, and what a conclusive result looks like — so creative iteration compounds instead of wandering.
  • Mine the sources that matter. Customer reviews, communities, competitor ad libraries, culture — the raw material real angles come from.
  • Build our AI workflow with us. Use AI daily across research, concepting and briefing, and help us develop the internal tooling — Claude Code, Codex and agentic workflows — that makes the whole system faster.

What you'll own

  • The creative strategy for a portfolio of consumer brands — concepts, angles and hooks, per brand, per week.
  • The creative testing roadmap and the learning it produces.
  • The diversity of the creative mix: genuinely distinct routes per account, not twenty variations of one idea.
  • The internal research-to-brief workflow, including how AI runs through it.

What this role is NOT

  • Not brand advertising detached from performance. Every idea here has to survive contact with the feed and the numbers. If "creative strategy" means moodboards without metrics to you, this isn't the role.

What success looks like

In the first months, success means:

  • Every active account has a steady drop of new concepts, each traceable to an insight or a performance signal.
  • Creative test win rate trends up — and losing tests still teach us something we use.
  • A documented, AI-assisted workflow from research to brief that the whole team runs on.

What you bring

  • A portfolio of creative you've conceived or directed that ran on real ad spend, with results you can talk about honestly.
  • Deep platform fluency, Meta first (TikTok and YouTube welcome): formats, placements, and how the feed disciplines creative.
  • Practitioner-level command of hooks — you know why the first seconds decide everything, how sound-off changes the writing, and what "native to the platform" actually looks like.
  • An analytical spine: you read creative dashboards, form hypotheses from hook rate, hold rate, CTR and CPA, and change your mind when the data says so.
  • Taste with range: you can move between a luxury jewelry brand, a beauty brand and an F&B brand and get each one's codes right — elevated where it needs to be, raw where it needs to be.
  • A research habit: reviews, communities, competitor ads and culture are where your angles start.
  • Clear, fast writing — briefs, scripts and hooks that need no second explanation.
  • Genuine AI fluency: you already use AI in your creative process, and you want to go deeper — building workflows, not just prompting.
  • Fluent English; Italian or Spanish a plus.

Who thrives here

High ownership, high speed, no big team and no heavy process — you'll have real influence over how Naniza makes creative, and real accountability for whether it works. If you want layers of approval between you and the work, this isn't it. If you tick most of this but not all — apply anyway. We care about the proof, not the checklist.

Nice to have

  • DTC, ecommerce or agency background across multiple verticals.
  • Experience briefing UGC creators or running creator pipelines.
  • A copywriting background — you can write the ad, not just describe it.
  • Familiarity with agentic workflows, MCP tools, Claude Code or Codex.

The details

  • Remote, EU-based (working hours overlapping CET).
  • Freelance engagement on a monthly recurring fee.
  • Optional access to our Barcelona hub (Norrsken).

How to apply

Use the form in our website. Your portfolio is required — applications without one won't be reviewed.

We read every application that comes with real work attached — we're looking forward to yours :)
