Creative Tech Writer

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a Creative Tech Writer with 5+ years of experience to help tell our story and drive inbound growth.

We are looking for a prolific writer who can turn complex technology into smart, compelling content. Someone who asks good questions, finds the interesting angle, develops a strong point of view, and writes things people actually want to read.

This is a hands-on role across articles, white papers, PR, social, campaigns, and more. We use AI every day, but AI is a tool. The thinking, research, judgment, fact-checking, and final writing need to be yours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Find the Angle & Write It: Develop original story ideas, points of view, and content angles around AI, software, emerging technology, and the industries we serve, then personally research and write the content.

• Shape the Narrative: Co-author and execute our overarching brand and content strategy across all major digital channels.

• Drive Inbound Growth: Craft high-impact, client-facing collateral, including proposals, brochures, and targeted campaigns, designed to capture and convert high-value leads.

• Media Relations & Pitching: Secure top-tier earned media by developing smart story angles and building relationships with journalists, tech bloggers, and industry influencers.

• Thought Leadership: Research and author deep-dive articles, white papers, sharp op-eds, and narrative-driven infographics, working directly with Plan A executives, engineers, and subject-matter experts to uncover ideas worth talking about.

• Social & Virality: Develop punchy, high-engagement content tailored for social platforms to amplify our brand voice and spark industry conversation.

• SEO Optimization: Apply on-page optimization best practices to help our content rank and cut through the digital noise.

• Award Recognition: Identify, draft, and submit compelling applications for industry awards to cement Plan A’s market leadership.

• Data-Driven Iteration: Track and analyze key performance metrics, including open rates, CTRs, and conversions, to relentlessly optimize outreach and ROI.
  
  

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in technology writing, journalism, PR, or content marketing. Deep experience in B2B tech is a massive plus.

• Writer at Heart: You genuinely love to write and have a portfolio of substantive work you personally authored, including long-form articles, white papers, or thought leadership.

• Curiosity & Original Thinking: You don’t wait for a perfect brief. You can take an open-ended technology topic, ask smart questions, find fresh angles, interview experts, and research your way to a real point of view.

• Exemplary Craftsmanship: Flawless English prose with the versatility to switch seamlessly between authoritative thought leadership and snappy, conversational copy.

• Full-Funnel Content Mastery: A portfolio demonstrating success across emails, blogs, social media, PR, and long-form digital campaigns that measurably move the needle.

• Technology Fluency: You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable learning technical concepts quickly, interviewing experts, and translating complexity without dumbing it down.

• SEO Fluency: A strong grasp of search intent, keyword integration, and content optimization strategies.

• Agility & Ownership: The organizational horsepower to manage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, producing at high volume without sacrificing attention to detail.
