Creator Marketing Manager
The Role
The Creator Marketing Manager owns the path from "a creator made something great" to "that asset is live, licensed, and spending at scale across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
You are the connective tissue between three groups that don't naturally speak the same language: creators and customers who make content, the legal and financial reality of owning the rights to run it, and a paid media team that needs a constant, organized supply of fresh assets and allowlisted handles to keep CAC down.
This is an operator's role. You'll negotiate and track usage rights, build and run the allowlisting program across every platform that supports it, manage the creator payment budget, keep a content library so clean that anyone can find any asset in thirty seconds, and report on exactly what every dollar of creator spend returned in paid performance.
If you are the kind of person who gets quiet satisfaction from a perfectly structured tracker, who genuinely enjoys the relationship side of working with creators, and who also wants to know the ROAS of what you sourced — this is built for you.
What You'll Own
The Creator-to-Allowlisting Pipeline
- Own the end-to-end allowlisting program: sourcing handles, securing partnership/spark/creator access across Meta Partnership Ads, TikTok Spark Ads, and emerging equivalents, and keeping access live and uninterrupted
- Maintain an always-on roster of active allowlisted handles sized to what paid actually needs to hit spend thresholds — you'll work backward from media plans to know how many handles and how many assets are required each month
- Troubleshoot the unglamorous parts fast: expired codes, revoked access, handles that go dark, platform permission changes. Spend doesn't pause because a token expired
- Build the intake process that turns inbound customer content, creator deliverables, and affiliate posts into a reviewed, rights-cleared, paid-ready library
Rights, Contracts & Budget
- Secure usage rights for creator-generated and customer-generated content — negotiating term length, channels, territory, paid vs. organic, and whitelisting permissions
- Maintain a rights ledger that is never wrong: every asset in market traceable to a documented agreement, with expiration dates tracked and renewals handled before they lapse
- Own the creator payment budget end to end — rate negotiation, usage fees, flat fees, gifting, bonuses, and affiliate overlays — and manage it to plan
- Run payments and invoicing so creators get paid accurately and on time. Reputation in the creator community is a compounding asset and late payments destroy it
- Partner with Legal and Compliance on claims-sensitive language, disclosure requirements, and what creators can and can't say in a supplement category
Content Organization & Handoff to Paid
- Build and maintain the content library — taxonomy, naming conventions, metadata, tagging by product, creator, format, hook type, and funnel stage
- Deliver organized, labeled, ready-to-launch asset batches to the paid media team on a predictable cadence. No digging, no Slack archaeology, no "can you resend the raw file"
- Track every asset from receipt through launch so nothing good sits unused in a folder — the gap between content delivered and content in market should approach zero
- Flag the standouts early: you'll often see what's working before the data does, because you're closest to the content
Reporting & ROI
- Own the reporting on creator-sourced creative performance: spend, ROAS, CAC, hook rate, hold rate, and the share of total paid spend running on creator assets
- Report ROI at the level that drives decisions — by creator, by content type, by product, by platform — so we know who to re-sign, who to scale, and where to stop spending
- Calculate and track the economics of the pipeline itself: cost per licensed asset, cost per active allowlisted handle, cost per net-new winning creative
- Partner with the paid media and creative teams on the testing roadmap, sourcing specifically against the angles and formats they need rather than collecting content at random
- Bring a monthly point of view to leadership on what the creator channel returned and what it needs next
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
- 3+ years in influencer marketing, creator operations, UGC sourcing, social, or paid media coordination — agency or brand side
- Ferociously organized. You run your work out of trackers and systems, not memory, and you've been the person others come to because you're the one who knows where everything is
- Genuinely enjoy working with creators. You're a good email, a fast reply, and a clear brief — and creators want to work with you again
- Analytical by instinct. You're comfortable in spreadsheets, you can build and read a performance report, and your first question about any asset is how it performed
- Working knowledge of paid social mechanics — what allowlisting and Spark Ads actually are, how creative gets launched, and why the paid team needs what they need when they need it
- Clear, direct communicator who can hold a deadline with a creator and a budget conversation with a manager on the same afternoon
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace. Processes here get built by the person who noticed they were missing
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience negotiating usage rights or managing creator contracts and payments
- Familiarity with a creative analytics platform (Motion or similar) or a DAM/content library tool
- Experience in health, wellness, supplements, beauty, or another claims-sensitive category
- Familiarity with TikTok Shop, affiliate programs, or creator commerce
- You've worked directly alongside a paid media team and understand their rhythm
