We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Credit Controller to join our Finance team, playing a vital role in maximising cash collection, reducing the risk of debt, and ensuring the efficient management of customer accounts. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced environment where you'll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver outstanding service and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

As a Credit Controller, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring collections activity is carried out effectively and in line with company policies and customer agreements. You'll be responsible for reconciling accounts, investigating and resolving queries, managing disputes, and ensuring accurate billing and payment processes.

You'll work collaboratively across the business to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and support positive customer relationships. Using your analytical skills and attention to detail, you'll investigate discrepancies, manage unallocated cash, produce reports, and provide valuable insights to help improve cash flow and reduce aged debt.

This role offers a varied workload, combining credit control, account management, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both people and numbers.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
• Strong account reconciliation skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent Excel skills, including analysing data and producing reports.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts and prioritise workloads effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience of reducing aged debt, maximising collections, and improving cash flow would be advantageous.
