About DAT

DAT Freight & Analytics is an award-winning employer of choice and a next-generation SaaS technology company that has been at the leading edge of freight and logistics innovation for nearly five decades. Founded in 1978, DAT operates the largest freight marketplace in North America — processing 250 million+ load posts annually and maintaining one of the largest repositories of freight market transaction data in the world. On a defined path to $1 billion in revenue, DAT deploys a suite of software solutions, machine learning models, and intelligent automation tools that help brokers, carriers, and shippers price freight accurately, source capacity, reduce risk, and operate more efficiently. With nearly 700 teammates across offices in Denver, CO; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Springfield, MO; Toronto, ON; and Bangalore, India, DAT combines the credibility of a multi-decade market leader with the drive of a company that is not done disrupting the industry it helped build. The Opportunity

DAT Freight & Analytics is the largest truckload freight marketplace in North America. Our Financial Services division — anchored by the Outgo platform — is building the financial infrastructure for the freight ecosystem. DAT is owned by Roper Technologies (NYSE: ROP), a constituent of the S&P 500, Fortune 1000, and the Russell 1000 indices.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit & Financial Operations Analyst to join our growing Finance and Accounting Team. This role reports directly to the Principal of Credit & Financial Operations and plays a critical supporting role in one of DAT's most operationally demanding workstreams: forward flow receivables purchase facility reporting and Outgo month-end close.

As DAT scales its AR sales and related distribution cadence from once monthly to four times per month, the volume and frequency of credit facility reporting has grown significantly. This role exists to ensure DAT has operational depth and redundancy in this function — and to give a high-potential analyst meaningful exposure to credit facilities, FinTech financial operations, and Roper-level reporting standards.

What You’ll Own

Credit Facility — Weekly AR Sales Support

  • Prepare and assemble the weekly AR sales data packages for submission to the purchaser under the receivables purchase facility — currently running 4x per month.
  • Support eligibility determination for receivables, ensuring all data inputs are accurate and flagging ineligible or concentration-breaching invoices before submission.
  • Maintain and update the AR sales and RPA workbooks; flag anomalies or data quality issues to the Principal immediately.
  • Serve as a trained backup for all receivables purchase facility submission processes to ensure business continuity.

Monthly & Quarterly Lender Reporting

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly lender reporting packages, including data pulls, reconciliations, and covenant calculations.
  • Support quarterly lender reporting preparation under the direction of the Principal.
  • Maintain organized filing and version control of all lender submissions and supporting documentation.

Outgo Month-End Close Support

  • Assist with Outgo month-end close activities, with an emphasis on meeting the 3-day close cycle and Business Day 2 data deadlines.
  • Prepare reconciliations, supporting schedules, and data extracts as directed.
  • Monitor Outgo dashboards daily; escalate trends, anomalies, or funding concerns to the Principal.

Process & Documentation

  • Maintain and improve process documentation and runbooks for all recurring reporting tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort in reporting workbooks.
  • Support SOX control execution for processes within scope, in alignment with Roper Technologies compliance requirements.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

Experience & Education

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or financial operations — hands-on accounting work (close cycles, reconciliations, journal entries, AR/AP) is required, not just financial analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA track, CPA candidate, or coursework toward a CPA is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, and reconciliation methodology is essential — this role touches revenue recognition and lender reporting.
  • Exposure to credit facilities, lender reporting, or FinTech financial operations is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a high-velocity, deadline-driven environment (e.g., fast close cycles, daily or weekly reporting) is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — comfortable with large, complex workbooks, data reconciliation, and formula-driven models.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and how accounting data flows through a general ledger.
  • Comfort using AI models (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) as a daily work tool — for drafting, analysis, research, and workflow automation — is expected, not optional.
  • Snowflake experience or strong SQL proficiency is a significant plus; willingness to develop these skills is required.
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary platforms and reporting tools.

Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy in high-stakes, time-sensitive reporting is non-negotiable.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple recurring deadlines without dropping items.
  • Proactive communicator — surfaces problems early rather than waiting for them to escalate.
  • Intellectually curious; eager to understand the "why" behind the numbers, not just execute the process.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment of ambiguity and change typical of a high-growth FinTech division.
