About The Job
- The Credit Risk Monitoring Specialist position is part of the Credit Risk Monitoring team of RISK Markets and Financial Institutions (MFI) who monitors credit risk exposures to ensure the bank respects its risk appetite. The responsibilities include monitoring, analysis, decision making, and constant discussion with all stakeholders. The Credit Risk Monitoring Specialist proficiently monitors credit risk exposures, delivers insightful analysis that underpins decision making, and plays a pivotal part in managing critical credit situations alongside senior risk managers. Acting as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders across multiple business lines (Securities Services and Global Banking) and locations (globally), the specialist maintains close collaboration with credit risk analysts, credit officers, and other key partners
Your Main Activities Are
- Partner with the Head of Team by assisting in producing accurate credit risk analysis and management reports on the agreed timelines. In addition, promptly raise alerts for sensitive situations and help coordinate the appropriate response
- Generate management information in regular reports that capture the team’s work, provide qualitative reviews of the most material cases, and organise the credit risk monitoring committees
- Perform controls on client’s portfolio and activity (for example, concentration, asset quality, and trading activity) or any other targeted analyses as required
- Oversee data quality framework of risk metrics ensuring the accuracy of inputs and drive remediation actions to resolve any issues
- Collaborate with business lines to maintain and continuously improve a robust risk framework that reflects evolving market conditions and regulatory expectations.
- Develop and implement critical initiatives leading the design and rollout of new credit risk management frameworks and define appropriate controls for emerging activities and exceptional transactions
- Promote best practice and team culture, foster a collaborative spirit, and guide team members toward consistent high-quality work
- Serve as a specialist contact for complex topics, providing expert analysis and guidance on intricate credit risk matters, supporting senior managers in making well informed decisions
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or related
- At least 5 years of experience in Risk and Controls / Credit Process / Banking and Financial Operations / Financial Analysis and Advisory or similar
- Advanced level of English, both written and oral
- Knowledge in MS Office Excel
- Attention to detail / rigour
