Working with us

Cognita is a global family of 86 schools across 21 countries, with more than 100,000 students, 22,000 colleagues, 14 curricula and 9 languages of instruction. Our strength lies in our diversity. There is no single model of a Cognita school because education is inherently local. When families choose a school, they are making a deeply personal and community-based decision, and our schools reflect this.

What unites us is a shared ambition to deliver consistently high-quality education, alongside an exceptional experience for students and parents. We define this clearly through group-wide standards that articulate what “great” looks like, while allowing schools the freedom to express their local identity.

We have recently launched a new vision and strategic plan. It is ambitious and sets a clear direction for the years ahead.

Job Overview

Make sure every number in our CRM can be trusted
Cognita is a global community of schools committed to making a lasting difference in education. We believe great schools are built by great people, and as we move our schools onto HubSpot, we need someone who can make sure the data behind them is clean, well governed and trusted.

As our CRM Data Manager, you’ll own the quality, completeness and integrity of Cognita’s CRM data. That starts with migrating schools cleanly onto HubSpot and continues with setting the standards that keep data reliable in everyday operations. It’s a hands-on role at the heart of our commercial data foundation, and the people who rely on it, from Principals to central teams, will be counting on you.

Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)

What you’ll do

  • Lead data cleansing and remediation for each school or cluster ahead of HubSpot migration, and continue to own remediation as issues arise once a school is live
  • Define and document data mapping between our legacy systems (Dynamics) and HubSpot, giving migration execution clear requirements to build against
  • Support migration execution, whether through CSV/Excel import or script-based load, validating data as it lands and resolving discrepancies quickly
  • Own ongoing governance of CRM data quality and completeness across all live schools, setting the standards other teams work to
  • Establish processes that promote accurate data capture at key points in the Sales and Parent Experience journey
  • Partner with the CRM Insights and Analysis Manager to define and own the KPIs that measure data quality and completeness
  • Raise HubSpot configuration or UI improvements that would improve data capture with the Business Analyst, for prioritisation into the CRM roadmap
  • Provide data quality reporting to school-level stakeholders (such as Parent Experience Managers and Principals) and to central teams
  • Maintain a repeatable data standard and playbook covering both migration and ongoing governance, so our approach is consistent across schools and clusters

You’ll work closely with the CRM Optimisation Manager, the CRM Insights and Analysis Manager, the Business Analyst, the HubSpot Global Rollout Programme Manager, IT and technical teams, vendors and integration partners, and cluster and school leaders.

What you’ll bring
Essential

  • Experience leading data migration, cleansing or data quality initiatives, ideally within a CRM or customer data platform
  • Experience establishing data quality standards, processes or governance in an operational context, not just on projects
  • Experience working across both central and site-based stakeholders in a multi-site or multi-market organisation
  • A strong data management discipline, with attention to detail and a structured approach to cleansing, mapping and validation at scale
  • Confidence working hands-on with HubSpot or an equivalent CRM or data platform, including import/export tools and basic data transformation
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to turn data issues into practical guidance for non-technical, school-based colleagues
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience

Working arrangements

This role involves flexible working across multiple time zones and close day-to-day collaboration with IT, the CRM Optimisation Manager and cluster teams, both virtually and in person as needed. You can also expect occasional international travel to schools and clusters to support migration and data remediation, particularly during active rollout phases.

We understand the value of AI tools and recognise the benefits they can offer to people who may need support with their writing. However, please be aware that we are increasingly rejecting CVs, expressions of interest and applications where the use of AI has resulted in content that feels generic, lacks personality or is indistinguishable from other submissions.

By using your own words, experiences and ideas to demonstrate your motivation for applying and your alignment with the role, you will give yourself the best opportunity to stand out in a highly competitive field.

Cognita is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects the same from its employees. All new staff will be subject to detailed and enhanced pre-employment clearance, including identity checks, criminal background checks for all countries lived in, qualification checks, employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps in employment, and satisfactory reference checks for all employment in the last 10 years.
