Your Role: The Alpaca Crypto team is a 100% distributed and remote team. This role will report directly to the Global Director of Crypto Operations. Things You Get To Do: Primary responsibility for the daily monitoring and surveillance of all customer activity Primary responsibility for daily operational tasks including trading, new accounts, and cash management functions; Cryptocurrency trading executions and exceptions (errors, corrections, etc.) Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC and account approval Review of general ledger accounts, identify and reconcile account discrepancies Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations that result from suspected suspicious activity Proactively drive impactful changes across workflows, policies and tools Clearly communicate with internal and external partners in an effective, tactical, and insightful manner Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned Global remote location, core time around 9am to 5pm PT (working hours: 8 hours per day, holidays follow the US market holidays) Who You Are (Must-Haves): Excited about what Alpaca is building!! 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading or cryptocurrency operations role Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or strong desire to learn Work effectively and supportively within a team environment as well as work independently Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Must possess the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of new responsibilities Inspired by Alpaca’s mission and enthusiastic about supporting our customer base and growing the platform Who You Might Be ( Nice-to-Haves): Startup mindset for a fast paced, high growth environment Familiarity or interest in: FinTech, financial markets, cryptocurrencies, investing applications How We Take Care of You: Competitive Salary & Stock Options Health Benefits New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500 Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card Alpaca is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.
