Contract Details
- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 1 year (with possibility of extension and conversion based on business needs and performance)
- Pay Rate: C$80.00–C$90.00 / Hour (CAD)
- Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours — 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day

Job Summary
The Crypto Automation Team is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise cryptographic automation solutions. The team plays a critical role in safeguarding organizational data and systems by delivering secure, scalable, and automated cryptographic services. This includes automating key management, certificate lifecycle management, encryption processes, and other cryptographic operations to improve efficiency, reliability, and the organization's overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python/FastAPI that serve as the orchestration layer for certificate or key lifecycle workflows
- Integrate the API Gateway with upstream/downstream systems: ServiceNow, CLM, KMS, and other DevOps platforms
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and documentation of API contracts
- Develop unit tests and integration tests
- Provide L3 support and production troubleshooting
Required Skills
- 8 years of security-related technology experience
- 5 years of strong professional experience with Python, specifically FastAPI
- 3 years of experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong time management and priority management skills
- Attention to detail; self-starter and adaptable
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with TLS/SSL certificate management and PKI concepts (issuance, renewal, revocation)
- Exposure to Venafi, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, or similar PKI/secrets management tools
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations (CMDB, workflow automation)
- Experience supporting Linux and/or Windows server environments
- Venafi REST API experience (strong asset)
Education Requirements
- Post-secondary education is an asset
- CISSP certification is an asset
Required Experience
- 8 years of overall experience in security-related technology
- 5 years of professional experience with Python (specifically FastAPI)
- 3 years of experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
