We are looking for an experienced Cryptography & Key Management Specialist to support a complex cybersecurity program within an enterprise environment subject to stringent security and compliance requirements.
The role will focus on strengthening cryptographic capabilities, modernizing encryption practices, and improving the governance and lifecycle management of cryptographic keys across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
The specialist will contribute to initiatives involving cryptographic modernization, crypto-agility, encryption architecture, and enterprise key management. Responsibilities may include reviewing existing cryptographic controls, identifying risks or gaps, defining technical standards, and supporting remediation and transformation activities.
You will work with technologies and concepts such as:
- Enterprise encryption and cryptographic services
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
- Key Management Systems and key lifecycle processes
- Digital certificates and certificate management
- TLS and secure communication protocols
- Tokenization and data protection mechanisms
- Modern encryption algorithms and cryptographic standards
The role requires close collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, application, risk, and compliance teams to ensure cryptographic controls are implemented consistently across the organization.
Required Experience
Candidates should have strong hands-on and architectural experience in enterprise cryptography, encryption, PKI, HSM technologies, or large-scale key management environments.
Previous involvement in security transformation, cryptographic modernization, crypto-agility, or key management programs is highly desirable.
Experience working within organizations operating under demanding regulatory or information-security requirements will be considered a strong advantage.
Knowledge & Qualifications
A solid understanding of information-security frameworks, regulatory expectations, cryptographic best practices, and secure key lifecycle management is expected.
Relevant professional certifications are advantageous, including recognized cybersecurity certifications or specialist certifications related to cryptography, PKI, cloud security, key management, or HSM technologies.
Engagement
This is a senior-level consulting opportunity with a predominantly remote working model. Limited travel may occasionally be required depending on project needs.
Commercial terms are negotiable based on experience and expertise.
