Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Cryptography – Researcher Cybersecurity professional at Sploit Systems. The role involves researching, designing, and evaluating modern cryptographic algorithms and protocols for secure applications, systems, and services. The researcher will analyze existing implementations to identify weaknesses, conduct security assessments, and collaborate with engineering teams to integrate robust cryptographic controls into software and AI solutions. Daily tasks include reviewing academic literature and standards, developing proof-of-concept implementations, performing threat modeling, and contributing to security architecture and best practices. The role also includes documenting research findings, preparing technical reports, and supporting incident response with cryptographic and forensic expertise when required.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Security Research, including familiarity with current threat landscapes and security standards.
- Experience in Application Security, including secure design, secure coding practices, and cryptographic protocol integration.
- Hands-on skills in Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering for understanding attack techniques and evaluating cryptographic misuse.
- Proficiency in applied cryptography concepts such as encryption, authentication, key management, digital signatures, and secure communication protocols.
- Ability to write and review secure code in languages such as Python, C/C++, Go, or Rust, and familiarity with common cryptographic libraries.
- Experience with penetration testing tools, static and dynamic analysis, and security testing methodologies is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in a research-oriented role, contributions to security communities, publications, or open-source projects in cryptography or cybersecurity are a plus.
