Company Description GreenLedger is a specialized ESG data platform built for heavy industrial manufacturers, replacing manual, spreadsheet-driven workflows with a financial-grade data engine. The company helps industrial SMEs and medium enterprises across India, the Middle East, and Africa automate BRSR Core reporting, track Scope 1–3 emissions with audit-ready traceability, and monitor energy, water, waste, and air quality in a unified dashboard. Its solutions are tailored to the Indian regulatory context and designed for audit-readiness, turning compliance overhead into operational intelligence. GreenLedger is backed by IMI Kolkata and the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, holds ISO certification, and is recognized by Atal Incubation, signalling strong institutional support and credibility for long-term growth.
Role Description This is a part-time, remote CTO-cum-Co Founder role, offered on an equity-only basis, for a technology leader who will shape GreenLedger’s product and engineering vision. The role involves architecting and overseeing the development of a robust, scalable ESG data engine that can ingest, validate, and analyze industrial data across multiple geographies and regulatory frameworks. The CTO-cum-Co Founder will lead technical roadmap definition, choose and refine the technology stack, and establish engineering best practices, security standards, and data governance frameworks. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with the founding team and early customers, translating regulatory and operational requirements into product features, mentoring a distributed engineering team, and coordinating with product and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology decisions and market needs. The person in this role will also be responsible for building the technical culture, supporting fundraising discussions with clear technical narratives, and ensuring the platform remains audit-ready, reliable, and extensible as the company scales.
