Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Culture + Engagement Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving programs that create an engaging, inclusive, and welcoming employee experience across every stage of the employment lifecycle. The incumbent partners with leaders, Human Resources, and employees to develop initiatives that strengthen culture, enhance employee engagement, foster inclusion, and support employees’ personal growth. The incumbent leads employee engagement and inclusion strategies by leveraging employee feedback and workforce data to develop and implement training resources, and programs that foster a culture where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. The incumbent is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering internal Human Resources communications that promote awareness, understanding, and engagement with company programs, policies, benefits and organizational initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- In conjunction with leadership, develop and execute the organization’s employee engagement strategy across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding.
- Draw meaningful insights from internal and external data to recommend strategies, create narratives, and ultimately push solutions forward providing and owning insights and action plans.
- Advocate, champion and advise all levels of employees, partnering with the HR team on engagement related topics while also working to embed inclusion and belonging into the organizational culture.
- Design and deliver education for colleagues to drive greater inclusion, understanding and belonging.
- Establish and nurture relationships with local organizations, educational institutions, and advocacy groups to enhance the Everwise brand to build both workforce and community capability.
- Lead all HR internal communications including but not limited to well-being, performance management, culture and engagement surveys, and special projects.
- Create, execute, and sustain an annual engagement calendar that highlights a diverse range of topics and well-being events.
- Lead the organization's employee engagement survey strategy, including the Gallup Q12 and Great Place to Work surveys, by managing survey administration, developing implementation timelines, analyzing results, presenting insights to leadership, and driving action planning and enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen engagement and workplace culture.
- Lead and/or participate in projects that positively impact the employee workplace experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge/ Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employee engagement strategies and employee experience leading practices
- Highly effective critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional EQ, blended with an analytic approach and skill in leveraging data to drive decisions and narratives
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, change management, and project management skills
- Self-starter, ability to identify and execute projects and initiatives to impact the culture and engagement of the complete employee lifecycle
- Capable and eager to execute both strategically and tactically
- Advanced skills in MS Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational behavior, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years’ relevant human resources experience, preferably working in a HR Business Partner capacity
- 2+ years’ experience in developing, implementing and administering engagement and inclusion strategies and programs
- Ability to travel as required, including willingness to attend community events, which may take place outside of traditional working hours
Location Eligibility
This position is open to candidates residing in the South Bend-Mishawaka region or Greater Indianapolis region.
