Mastree , Learn by Doing Mastree is an online tutoring solution that aims to strengthen the core fundamental understanding of the kids through proven pedagogical principles in the K-12 space. We believe in providing foundational excellence through the ‘Mastery Way of Learning’ with an ecosystem-led approach of students, parents, and teachers. Our end-to-end learning experience provides structured & customized content in our regular teaching sessions consisting of small groups of 1:4, student-teacher ratio. Our modules (K-12) offer inquiry-based learning trying to solve real-world problems with engaging and immersive learning activities/games (both individual and group focussed). They form the key component of our lesson experience supported by powerful audio and visual aids to enhance learning. Through our powerful data science engine, we try to understand the learning gaps of the kids and support them in a way they learn the best - as we aim to provide real-time hints, adjust difficulty levels, provide interest (e.g. sports) based questions, etc. Our vision is to enable every child to realize & reach their true learning potential. And, we believe that everyone’s potential is just their imagination! Curriculum Designer We strongly believe students learn best through guided exploration and story narration. Working on hands-on activities, portfolio elements, games, and role-plays in small groups of like-minded peers will help them connect the dots that guide them to navigate from what is known to unknown. We aim to achieve this by leveragin g technology as well as the expertise of tutors. Our live lessons are designed keeping in my mind, kids are the prime focus and the teacher is just the facilitator who guides the kid’s thought process. Our lessons help the kids become critical thinkers, great problem solvers, strong and powerful orators, creative writers (books, films, ads, etc), better and informed global citizens, by thinking through their first principles, sound logic, and reasoning. Additionally, we have our self-paced content to suit the individual learning needs to address the learning gaps or challenge the kids to attain mastery over the subject with cool gamification features focused on providing nudges / behavioral change. Expectations Design rigorous and creative literacy mini-modules to build writing, reading, speaking, and listening competencies along with grammar, vocabulary pronunciation, and punctuation at A1, A2, and B1 levels. These modules will be delivered to diverse elementary, middle school, and high school learners via live lessons conducted by our tutors. Build a non-syllabus aligned Literacy Curriculum from scratch to develop English language accuracy and fluency - the modules could be based on IB or IGCSE programs. Conceptualize performance tasks for each mini-module to help build online student portfolios. Work with illustrators and frontend developers to design innovative and engaging interactivities, assessments, and videos Work with in-house tutors to improve student’s learning experience Requirements Strong conceptual understanding of K-12 English Literacy Creative writing skills Exposure to basic principles of general pedagogy Ability to visualise and present content in a very engaging manner that is student-friendly Applicable knowledge of the CEFR Diverse thought process and strong interlinkage of concepts and ideas Great problem solver and storyteller, first principles thinking, and amazing team player Brownie Points Experience in creating and producing content for Ed-tech platforms Experience in storyboarding and scriptwriting for educational content Experience working as a full-time teacher in a top-tier institution Degree in education and student psychology Location: Bengaluru, India / Remote
