Customer Case Study Permissions Assistant
Office Administration · Marketing Records · Remote
Full-time or part-time | £60,450–£64,350 per year for full-time work; part-time pro rata
A marketing team may want to describe a customer’s experience in an approved case study. Before a name, quotation or photograph appears in public material, the organisation needs a clear record of the permission it has obtained and the version it covers. This role supports that administrative record. You would send approved permission requests, track replies, link documents to the right proposed story and flag uncertainty for the person authorised to publish. You would not assume that a friendly email is consent for every future use.
What is being requested
The marketing owner may provide a draft, the intended channels and a permission form. Your first task is to check that the request identifies the right person and material. A customer might approve a written quotation but not a photograph, or agree to one use while asking a question about another. Record those distinctions using the employer’s approved fields. Do not broaden a person’s answer, edit their words or tell the team that “everything is fine” when the record is incomplete.
Routine work can include:
- Match a proposed case study to the correct customer contact and approved draft.
- Check that the supplied permission form is the current version.
- Send an authorised request through the approved online channel.
- Record whether the person accepted, declined or asked a question.
- Link a signed response to the specific material it describes.
- Flag a missing signature, date or named item for the owner to review.
- Note a later change or withdrawal without erasing the earlier history.
- Keep the publication status pending until the authorised team confirms it.
A situation that needs restraint
Imagine a customer who replies, “You can quote me, but please don’t use the photograph.” You would record the exact scope of that reply and make the limitation visible to the marketing owner. If the approved process needs a formal confirmation, ask for it in the prescribed way. Do not crop the photograph and assume the objection no longer applies. If a different team later wants to use the quote in a new campaign, route the new use through the employer’s permission process rather than relying on your interpretation of the old reply.
The role combines office administration with careful customer service. Permission requests should be respectful, clear about what the team is asking and easy for the person to answer. An unanswered request is not approval; a marketing deadline does not change that. You may be asked to remind someone once under the employer’s guidance, but should not pressure them into agreeing. If a person asks about how the story will be used, send the question to the owner who can give an authoritative answer.
You will work remotely with online forms, email and an internal approval record. A private home office is useful because customer names, drafts and replies should stay in approved systems. You do not need legal or marketing experience to apply. The hiring company will teach its permission forms, publication steps and privacy boundaries. The useful starting skills are accuracy, tact, and the ability to connect a response with the exact material discussed.
A proposed story may change during editing. If a quotation is shortened, a photograph replaced or a new use added, record the change and ask the owner whether the existing permission still applies. The same care is needed if a customer asks to withdraw permission after a draft has been approved. You would note the date and the request, alert the authorised owner and keep the item pending; you would not remove public material or promise a timetable without direction. The record should show the concern without turning your note into a legal judgement.
The full-time annual range is stated above; part-time pay would be pro rata. The employer will confirm the actual schedule, training and responsibilities for its opening. Your completed work should let an authorised colleague see what permission was requested, what the customer actually agreed to and which questions remain open before any case study is published.
Applying
Tell us how you would record a reply that approves a quotation but refuses a photograph. You can use an example from another context if you have not worked in marketing. We welcome applicants with limited office experience who can follow a careful process.
If you are selected to continue, the hiring company may ask you to complete an application through its website. You will receive the relevant instructions for that stage. The employer will explain its permission and approval records during training.
