About Numeral:
At Numeral, we're building the future of tax by bringing together AI agents, human expertise, and global compliance.
We’re the largest and fastest-growing AI-native tax solution. Today, we serve more than 3,500 global businesses, including companies like Supabase, Eight Sleep, and Graza. We’ve grown quickly across our core e-commerce and software segments, more than tripled our revenue every year, and expanded into new industries, including manufacturing, distribution, and wholesale.
Numeral has raised over $157M from Insight Partners, Salesforce Ventures, Benchmark, Mayfield, Y Combinator, and many others.
About the role:
Numeral is hiring Customer Success Managers to join our founding Customer Success team. You'll own relationships with some of our highest-value clients and help drive retention and growth.
This is a front-line role with real ownership: part trusted advisor, part problem-solver, part builder. You'll run your own portfolio of strategic accounts like a business, work directly with finance and tax leaders, and help write the playbook the rest of the team will scale on.
What you'll do:
Own a portfolio of strategic accounts: Be the go-to partner for our high-value clients. Build trusted relationships and make sure each account gets measurable value from Numeral's platform and services.
Deliver a proactive client experience: Get ahead of issues before they become problems. Run regular check-ins, business reviews, and account plans that keep clients engaged and successful.
Drive retention and growth: Own client health, renewals, and churn across your accounts. Spot expansion opportunities and partner with Sales to close.
Be the voice of the customer: Share client feedback with Product, Engineering, Tax Operations, and GTM to influence the roadmap and improve the end-to-end experience.
Help build the playbook: Work with the CS Lead to test and refine health scoring, handoffs from Onboarding, and success playbooks.
Work smarter with automation: Use AI to find automation opportunities so you can spend more time being strategic with clients.
What you'll bring:
Client-facing experience: You've worked in customer success, account management, consulting, or another client-facing role, ideally owning a large portfolio of accounts.
High ownership: You treat your accounts like your own business. You follow through, take initiative, and don't wait to be told what to do.
Consultative problem-solver: You can dig into a client's business, find what's getting in the way, and drive to a solution.
Commercial instincts: You're comfortable talking about value, renewals, and expansion, and you know how customer health connects to revenue.
Organized and prioritized: You can juggle many accounts at once and know where to focus your time for the biggest impact.
Strong communicator: You build credibility with finance and executive stakeholders and work well with technical and operational teams.
AI Fluency: You're excited to use AI and automation to work more efficiently.
Nice to haves:
Management consulting or MBA background
Experience in fintech, SaaS, financial infrastructure, tax, compliance, or finance workflows
High-growth startup environments (Series A–C+)
Experience on an early or newly formed CS team
Location:
This role is hybrid (must be based in Salt Lake City)
What we offer:
Competitive salary and equity - you'll share directly in the company's success
Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
Wellness perks like Headspace and the Peloton One App
401(k) to help you build long-term financial security
Lunch and snacks when you're in the office
Regular team offsites and company events as we grow
A culture built on ownership - your work matters and people will see it!
