Customer Supply Planning Manager (12 Month Contract)

Sysco (whose UK operating companies include Brakes, Fresh Direct, KFF & Medina) are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Supply Chain team as a Customer Supply Planning Manager on a 12 month contract basis, working closely with key customers, sales teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage demand changes, improve forecasting accuracy and minimise supply chain risk.

Our role is offering hybrid working from our Ashford office, so you must be within a commutable distance to Ashford.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers to gather forecasting insight for key demand events such as promotions, menu changes, allocations and category switches.
• Analyse, challenge and validate customer forecasts, communicating impacts and risks clearly across the supply chain and distribution network.
• Support the management of customer-driven supply changes, including product and supplier switches, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Identify and manage wastage risks relating to bespoke products, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to minimise waste.
• Ensure discontinued products are removed from the supply chain and distribution network within agreed timeframes.
• Build strong relationships with internal sales teams to gather intelligence on sales-driven changes and customer requirements.
• Provide feedback to customers and sales teams on the quality and accuracy of forecasting information.
• Conduct post-event reviews to assess forecast accuracy, identify lessons learned and share best practice across the team.
• Champion stock clearance processes and drive improvements that reduce waste and optimise supply chain performance.
• Support wider supply chain projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a customer-facing role and a Supply Chain position, ideally within a retail, foodservice or FMCG environment. We are looking for someone with strong stakeholder management skills who can build collaborative relationships, challenge constructively and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.

You will have experience analysing data and forecasts, be comfortable managing multiple priorities, and possess strong problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word, is essential, alongside experience using an ERP system. Previous involvement in projects is required, while knowledge of Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies or Six Sigma would be advantageous.
