About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Customs Clearance Agent to join our customs team in Ace Express Freight. You will be part of an established team reporting directly to our in-house Customs Experts. You will be responsible for supporting the team in processing all customs shipments documentation and reviewing and resolving customs related queries. All customs administrative tasks must be completed efficiently and accurately to ensure our first in class service is not impacted. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong customs clearance knowledge.
Contract Type: Permanent (6-month probationary period).
Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Location: Blakes Cross, Lusk, Co. Dublin (option of hybrid working post probation).
Key Duties of the Role
Completing and validating documentation
Updating internal system
Compliance control
Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
Liaising with carriers & customers for shipping information & documentation
Support the freight forwarders in gathering information or other duties
Import & Export customs ROI on AIS / AES and CHED/TRACES entries
Import & Export customs UK CDS entries
Completing ENS (ICS2), GMR, PBN's
T1/T2 departures & arrivals for TSF
TSS NI ENS declarations
Creating invoices for month end billing for customers
Declaring Bulk entries
Complete reports for Customer & Revenue
Assist in follow up Compliance Testing
Operational support
Liaise & provide completed documentation to Customer
Assist in other functions within Operations on a project basis when requested.
Provide general administrative support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the customs function.
Essential Requirements
1-2 years in a customs clearance role
Formal qualification in Customs Clearance desirable
Excellent organisational skills and capable of working at fast pace,
Strong PC Skills such as Excel / Word & PowerPoint.
Excellent level of English Oral and Written is required.
Export/Import T1 & T2 Transit experience desirable
