Role Description The Customs Clearance Executive is a full-time hybrid role based in Qesm 1st Nasser City, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end customs clearance processes, including preparing and reviewing documentation, coordinating with customs authorities, and ensuring shipments comply with local and international regulations. Daily tasks include tracking shipments, following up with terminals, brokers, and governmental entities, and resolving clearance delays or discrepancies. The Executive will maintain accurate records, update internal systems, and provide status reports to clients and internal teams. The role also involves collaborating with the freight forwarding and sourcing teams to optimize clearance timelines, support cost-effective import/export strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement of clearance procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation requirements, preferably within freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and manage clearance documents (invoices, packing lists, HS codes, certificates of origin, licenses, and permits) with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for interacting with customs authorities, terminals, clients, and internal teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle clearance issues, regulatory changes, and time-sensitive shipments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in customs clearance, logistics, or international trade is strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, data accuracy, and client-focused service.
