Job Summary: We are looking for an entry-level position supporting the Commissioning (Cx) team. This position will be based in our New York office with the building systems group in a hybrid work arrangement. Duties and Responsibilities: Proofreading and formatting documents produced for or by the PM and/or project team members to ensure consistency of style, application of client standards, and overall quality. Assist Cx lead personnel in performing jobsite observations. Maintains up-to-date digital project files. Manages and maintains “Project Big Board”. Distributes project information to appropriate members of the project team, client team, and other consultants in a timely fashion. May have occasional contact with client and other outside consultants regarding transfer of information, documents, timelines, etc. Assists with the setup and formatting of PowerPoint presentations for Commissioning Project Managers and the Commissioning Director. Assists IT and HR with new hire workspace set up. Assists Cx Project Managers in scheduling meetings and developing detailed meeting minutes. Write field reports for jobsite observations to be reviewed and distributed by the Cx lead personnel. Create pre-functional checklists for contractors and develop MEP Cx and functional performance test procedures. Provide technical support to project teams for building systems related issues. Assist Cx lead personnel in performing equipment and systems conditions assessments. Prepare basic calculations. Develop commissioning plans, commissioning specifications, and Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR) documents. Troubleshoot HVAC and associated controls systems and plumbing systems. Perform functional testing and verification of equipment and systems in the field in direct support of Cx lead personnel on those projects Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 0-3 years of experience. Demonstrated knowledge and skills of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Teams). Understanding and ability to communicate with internal commissioning team members. Excellent organization and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in the face of shifting projects and deadlines. Read and clearly speak English, follow written and verbal instructions, write legibly for logs and documentation. Work independently and with initiative as well as within team settings. Willingness to learn and contribute. A confident and positive attitude with colleagues and clients. Location : New York, NY Travel: 60% Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $89,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience and qualifications.
