The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Cyber Security & Systems Engineer.

The Cyber Security & Systems Engineer responsibilities include the provision of technical and professional leadership to the CI & Cyber Principal Engineering Authority and the Responsible Systems and Cyber Security Engineers on the Shetland Gas Plant (SGP).

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the company’s governance and assurance processes, embedding these into the SGP asset.
  • Ensure NIS Regulations /IEC 62443/CAF framework compliance for SGP as required.
  • Ensure requirements under COMAH are fully understood and adhered to
  • Support the NIS Responsible Officer (NRO) in his duties.
  • Act as the Deputy NIS Responsible Person (DNRO) as and when required.
  • Contribute towards the site Annual Operating Plan (AOP) where necessary.
  • Collate and manage KPI reporting to px Group and client’s requirements.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities of the IACS for SGP.
  • Contribute to Cyber Security Risk Assessments providing pragmatic advice and guidance for implementation of findings and recommended actions.
  • Provide asset operations personnel with specific technical support, in coordination with site support team.
  • Propose and justify technically and regulatory compliant modifications to the asset to sustain and improve safety/efficiency/reliability of equipment.
  • Be conversant with, and ensure compliance to, relevant legislation, standards, Company policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Lead the annual Cyber Assessment Frameworks (CAF) submissions to the UK regulatory authorities for Critical National Infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements

  • HND in Control or Instrumentation engineering, or equivalent level qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of legislation, standards, and codes specific to control & instrumentation
  • Site based engineering experience.
  • Relevant experience in maintaining and managing effective relationships with both internal and external personnel.
  • Experience and understanding of Health and Safety systems & procedures.
