Otis is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect, Director to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cybersecurity across our global organization. As Otis continues to accelerate the digitization of its products and systems, you will help develop innovative security architectures that protect critical systems and data across cloud, hybrid-cloud, and enterprise environments. You will work at the intersection of Enterprise Security and Product Security, helping translate evolving cybersecurity challenges into scalable, forward-looking solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence Otis’ global security vision and architecture, partner with key stakeholders across the organization, and help ensure security remains foundational to how Otis designs and delivers technology.

This Director-level position is primarily a strategic individual contributor role, ideal for an accomplished cybersecurity architect who wants to remain close to the technology while having the scope and influence to drive meaningful change across a global enterprise. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Cyber Product and Architecture.

On a typical day you will:

• Design and develop security architectures for enterprise systems, cloud- and hybrid-based systems across all types including Infrastructure, Platform and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)
• Review enterprise security solution architectures at the nexus between Enterprise security and Product Security
• Design and implement secure architectures and designs (based on business requirements) that will allow those requirements to be met with a minimal degree of risk to the organization and with appropriate security controls present
• Represent the security stack and requirements in the development and implementation of the overall global enterprise architecture while acting as the ambassador and senior technical representative for Enterprise Security, engaging with other senior technical leaders throughout the organization
• Develop security standards while working in partnership with Engineering, Infrastructure Services and Application Development organizations to choose appropriate technology solutions, and facilitates complete integration into the company environments
• Identify, recommend, coordinate and deliver timely knowledge to support teams regarding security technologies, processes or tools
• Partner with other leaders across the business to identify opportunities and risks and deliver solutions that support business strategies while protecting intellectual property globally
• Develop and execute strategies to increase security knowledge throughout the enterprise
• Consult with other Otis Digital Technology teams and functional departments to identify and remediate risk and legacy systems, and improves processes and procedures which support the transition efforts

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
• One relevant cybersecurity certification, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSK, or an equivalent credential, is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT architecture and/or engineering, with a strong focus on cybersecurity
• 2+ years of experience designing or supporting solutions across cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or comparable cloud technologies
• Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence, including hands-on experience designing or building AI agents and AI-enabled solutions
• Minimum 1 year of broad experience architecting solutions within complex enterprise environments, including identity technologies such as passwordless authentication and Operational Technology (OT) environments
• Extensive experience assessing, designing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting security technologies and processes across SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments
• Strong knowledge across key cybersecurity domains, including Application Security and secure software development, data protection, cryptography, key management, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and network security
• Demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus across business and technology stakeholders, translating complex security considerations into practical solutions and successful outcomes
• Proven ability to deliver results, navigate complex challenges, and drive progress against ambitious business and technology objectives
• Experience partnering directly with designers, developers, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to design, build, and continuously improve digital products and services
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including application architecture and deployment
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage quality, priorities, timelines, and scope within complex technology environments
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively across all levels of an organization
• Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading or managing small- and large-scale technical projects or programs
• A highly accountable, disciplined, and quality-focused approach to delivering work
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
• Ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require

The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $212,000. This position will be eligible for an annual bonus. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
