English & French | South Africa | Regional travel
Take ownership of cybersecurity service delivery across South Africa, Botswana and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This role offers the opportunity to build strong client relationships, coordinate international security teams and support the protection of enterprise IT and operational technology (OT) environments.
Based in South Africa, preferably Johannesburg, you will be the primary regional client contact, connecting local teams with security specialists and driving responsive, reliable service delivery.
What you’ll do
- Lead regional service delivery: Monitor security service levels, lead monthly service reviews, prepare reports and manage risks, issues and service improvement actions.
- Build trusted client relationships: Work with regional IT and OT teams in English and French, ensuring local issues receive prompt attention and escalation.
- Coordinate security incident response: Partner with the Security Operations Centre (SOC), lead local escalations during major incidents, arrange on-site verification and support, and keep stakeholders informed through recovery and post-incident review.
- Drive changes and remediation: Ensure changes follow client processes and coordinate the timely remediation and retesting of high-risk vulnerabilities.
- Provide bilingual security support: Help review French-language security alerts and flagged content across data loss prevention, email security and Microsoft Defender. Organise security awareness training and phishing simulations in English and French.
- Support service transition: Coordinate knowledge transfer, site surveys and service handover.
- Stay connected to regional operations: Attend regular local meetings, submit required work reports and travel to client offices and mine sites across South Africa, Botswana and the DRC as needed.
Essential requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Reside in South Africa and hold the right to work there; Johannesburg is preferred.
- Be available during South African business hours for rapid remote and on-site response, and reachable for urgent escalations outside business hours.
- Be able to attend client offices and sites when required and travel to Botswana and the DRC. Daily on-site attendance is not required.
- Commit full-time and exclusively to this engagement, without providing services to other clients during the contract term.
- MUST Demonstrate fluent written and spoken English and French, with supporting evidence.
- Bring at least 8 years’ experience in IT or cybersecurity services, including at least 3 years as a delivery, service or project manager on a large-scale cybersecurity managed services engagement for a multi-country enterprise client. Relevant services include SOC/MDR, managed SIEM or vulnerability management.
- Hold at least one valid certification from the following list, or an equivalent: CISSP, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or ITIL 4 Foundation or above.
- Be able to pass the engagement’s required background screening and compliance checks.
Experience that will help you stand out
- Mining or industrial OT experience, or experience supporting operations in Botswana or the DRC.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel or Purview, Splunk, Qualys, Fortinet, Huawei security products or ServiceNow.
- Experience coordinating offshore or follow-the-sun SOC teams.
