Cybersecurity Engineer Intern

Role Description: We are seeking a proactive and motivated Cybersecurity Engineering Intern to join our technical team for a 3-month remote internship. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers to assist with the deployment, configuration, and support of leading enterprise cybersecurity and networking technologies.

This remote internship offers direct, hands-on exposure to cutting-edge vendor solutions and enterprise security architecture.

• Enterprise Solution Deployment: Assist senior engineers with the deployment, configuration, and testing of enterprise security and networking solutions, including API Security, Gigamon, Arista Networking, AppGate (Zero Trust), and Cisco solutions.
• Network & Security Support: Support remote troubleshooting, configuration validation, and log analysis for network and security infrastructure.
• Lab Testing & Proof of Concept (PoC): Help set up and document virtual lab environments and technical PoCs for client solutions.
• Documentation & Technical Reporting: Draft technical deployment guides, network topology diagrams, security checklists, and client support documentation.
• Threat & Infrastructure Monitoring: Assist in reviewing security policies, access controls, and traffic visibility frameworks across target client environments.

• Degree: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field. (Coursework or background in Business Administration / MBA is a plus).

• Core understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing/switching fundamentals, and enterprise firewalls.
• Basic familiarity with enterprise security concepts, Zero Trust architecture (ZTNA), visibility frameworks, or API security basics.
• Familiarity with vendor technologies such as Cisco, Arista, Gigamon, or AppGate is highly advantageous.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment with strong time management skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills are mandatory.

Holding or actively studying toward any baseline certification is a plus:

• CompTIA Security+
• ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
• Cisco CCST / CCNA Security
• Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate
