Job Description

Role Purpose

The Solution Architect – Cybersecurity Services is the senior technical authority within the Cybersecurity Services Business Development team. The role translates customer operational and cyber risk into deployable architectures and scoped engagements that generate cybersecurity services revenue and clear the technical roadblocks slowing adoption of Schneider Electric’s connected products, software, and lifecycle services.

The role is global across all Energy Management segments with deliberate focus on the Data Center segment including Hyperscaler, colocation, and Neocloud environments — where network design, OT/IT convergence, and security architecture decisions are most consequential to customer outcomes and to Schneider’s pull-through opportunity.

Enterprise Value Creation

1. Cybersecurity Solution Design & Services Revenue

  • Architect cybersecurity engagements spanning consulting, network and security design, CISO-as-a-Service, controls integration (e.g., Claroty / digital asset management), risk reduction, remediation, and other scopes identified through customer engagement.
  • Convert customer security gaps and regulatory exposure into clearly scoped, defensible statements of work that close as billable engagements.
  • Lead technical positioning of cybersecurity services attached to EcoCare and as standalone offers.

2. Connected Services Enablement & Roadblock Removal

  • Identify and dismantle the network, segmentation, connectivity, and security objections that stall adoption of CBM, wireless sensing, cloud data sharing, advisors, and asset management software.
  • Design reference architectures that allow Schneider connected services to deploy inside customer environments with controls acceptable to customer security teams and regulators.
  • Provide the technical credibility that enables CIOs, CISOs, and infrastructure leaders to say yes to connected and digital offers.

Key Accountabilities

Customer Cyber Architecture & Solution Design

  • Lead network and security architecture design across OT, IT, and converged environments — with depth in segmentation, zero-trust patterns, secure remote access, and OT visibility.
  • Scope and shape CISO-as-a-Service engagements aligned to customer maturity, regulatory exposure, and operational risk profile.

Standards-Based Risk Assessment & Remediation

  • Apply IEC 62443 as the operating reference for OT cybersecurity design, assessment, and program maturity.
  • Bring a deep understanding of key OT cybersecurity and networking standards including NERC CIP, NIS2, NIST CSF / 800-82, and segment-specific regulatory frameworks; identify the right control set for the customer’s industry and jurisdiction.
  • Define remediation roadmaps tied to risk-prioritized outcomes, not feature lists.

Data Center Segment Depth

  • Bring direct field experience across Hyperscaler, colocation, and Neocloud data center environments — including BMS / EPMS / DCIM cyber considerations, white-space vs. gray-space security strategies, multi-tenant isolation, and cloud integration models.
  • Engage credibly with data center operators on commissioning-stage cyber requirements, network design, and operational cybersecurity strategies.

Cross-Functional Influence on Offer, Marketing & Sales

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with segment Solution Architects, Marketing, and Product / Offer Managers to ensure cyber considerations are designed into offers and into how sales teams approach customers.
  • Guide sales and tendering teams on how to interpret, respond to, and price deeper cybersecurity requirements in customer bids and RFPs.
  • Engage early in the design phase to specify cybersecurity content that differentiates Schneider Electric from competitors.

Project Shaping & Technical Leadership

  • Lead development of project scope, technical approach, and execution strategy from opportunity through engagement kickoff; hand off cleanly to delivery while remaining accountable for technical outcome.
  • Serve as the senior consultative voice on top cybersecurity opportunities and elevate the broader Schneider technical community on OT cyber.

Scope & Success Measures

  • Cybersecurity services revenue — attached to EcoCare and standalone — with measurable contribution from architect-led shaping.
  • Connected services and software pull-through directly enabled by cyber engagement (CBM, advisors, asset management, cloud data sharing).
  • Influence measured by adoption of cyber-informed offers, sales plays, and marketing positioning across business units.
  • Customer technical credibility evidenced by repeat engagement and executive-level trust.

Solution Architect Profile

  • Senior network engineer by background, with deep cybersecurity expertise across OT and IT environments.
  • Hands-on field experience scoping and delivering cyber engagements across multiple industries, with substantial experience in data center environments (Hyperscaler, Colocation, Neocloud).
  • Recognized depth in IEC 62443; working command of NERC CIP, NIS2, NIST CSF / 800-82, and adjacent OT and critical infrastructure standards.
  • Strong executive presence with CIOs, CISOs, plant and infrastructure leaders; equally credible in a network closet, a SOC, and a boardroom.
  • Proven cross-functional operator able to influence offer design, marketing, and sales motion.
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum; advanced degree preferred. Industry certifications such as ISA/IEC 62443 specialist tracks, GICSP, CISSP, and CCNP/CCIE strongly preferred.
  • NAM-based, hybrid or remote, ideally within one hour of a Schneider Electric office. Travel as needed to support customer engagements and team goals.
