We believe you should have opportunities to grow, develop relationships, and contribute to our important work of ensuring that farmers worldwide have the genetics, technology, and hands-on solutions needed to feed the world.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a D365 Business Process Specialist Lead to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role works across functions to analyze, design, document and continuously improve end-to-end business processes enabled by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. Working with process owners, subject-matter experts, Business IT and implementation partners, the role facilitates process discovery, identifies root causes and improvement opportunities, translates business requirements into sustainable process and system solutions, and supports successful implementation and adoption. The role brings a business process perspective to D365 decisions, helping Semex balance global consistency, local requirements, operational effectiveness and long-term maintainability.

What You Will Do:

Business Process Leadership

  • Document current-state and future-state processes, including activities, roles, decision points, controls, hand-offs, systems, data inputs and process outputs.
  • Apply structured process-analysis methods to identify bottlenecks, duplication, control gaps, unclear ownership, unnecessary variation and opportunities for simplification.
  • Work across functions to analyze, design and continuously improve end-to-end business processes enabled by D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.

Business Requirements & Solution Enablement

  • Act as the primary internal functional lead for D365 F&SCM and maintain an enterprise view of how modules and processes work together.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, process designs, acceptance criteria and prioritized improvements.
  • Participate in fit-gap analysis, solution reviews and design decisions with implementation partners and technical teams.
  • Assess proposed configurations, extensions and integrations for business fit, usability, supportability and long-term value.
  • Maintain functional documentation, process maps, decision records and the D365 business capability roadmap.

Governance & Prioritization

  • Establish and support governance for D365 requests, functional decisions, enhancements and process ownership.
  • Manage a transparent functional backlog and recommend priorities based on business value, risk, urgency, dependencies and capacity.
  • Help define decision rights and escalation paths for global standards, local requirements and cross-functional issues.
  • Partner with Business IT leadership on roadmap planning, release priorities, partner performance and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor alignment between approved designs, delivered functionality and expected business outcomes.

Testing, Deployment & Operational Readiness

  • Lead business readiness for functional testing, user acceptance testing, cutover and deployment activities.
  • Define business scenarios, coordinate test participation and ensure material issues are resolved or formally accepted.
  • Support data validation, process reconciliation and readiness assessments for each implementation wave.
  • Coordinate functional support during stabilization and help transition ownership from project delivery to operational support.
  • Ensure that releases include appropriate documentation, training, controls and support preparation.

Change Management & Capability Building

  • Champion D365 adoption by explaining the business reason for change and connecting new processes to measurable outcomes.
  • Build and support a network of process owners, super users and local champions across the organization.
  • Guide role-based training content, business process documentation and user communications.
  • Coach business specialists and subject-matter experts in requirements, testing, process ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Reduce dependency on external consultants by strengthening internal knowledge and functional capability.

Continuous Improvement & Value Realization

  • Monitor process performance, user feedback, incidents and improvement opportunities after deployment.
  • Evaluate relevant D365, Power Platform, reporting, automation and AI capabilities from a business-value perspective.
  • Develop recommendations and business cases for improvements, including expected benefits, impacts and measures of success.
  • Work with data and reporting teams to define business measures, information needs and data-quality responsibilities.
  • Report on adoption, process outcomes, enhancement progress and realized value.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Degree or diploma in business, finance, supply chain, operations, information systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience working with ERP-enabled business processes in a complex, multi-functional organization.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, Dynamics AX, or a comparable enterprise ERP platform.
  • Experience participating in or leading an ERP implementation, global template, rollout, optimization or major business transformation.
  • Working knowledge of process design, requirements definition, testing, data readiness, change management and operational support.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, finance, agriculture, life sciences or regulated operations is an asset.
  • Microsoft D365 functional certification, Lean/process improvement training or change-management certification is an asset.
