At Semex / Boviteq, we truly believe that your work and workplace should be more than just a job - they are an invaluable part of your career and personal journey. We believe you should have opportunities to grow, develop relationships, and contribute to our important work of ensuring that farmers worldwide have the genetics, technology, and hands-on solutions needed to feed the world.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a D365 Project Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for the disciplined planning, governance and delivery of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management transformation. The role coordinates internal teams, business workstreams, implementation partners and vendors to deliver agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality and business-readiness outcomes. This dedicated delivery role complements the D365 Business Process Specialist Lead, who owns business-process and functional alignment. The Project Manager ensures that decisions, resources, dependencies and deliverables move through the program in a controlled and transparent manner.

What You Will Do:

Program Planning & Delivery

  • Create and maintain the integrated program plan, including phases, workstreams, milestones, dependencies and critical path.
  • Convert the approved business case, implementation approach and partner commitments into an executable delivery plan.
  • Coordinate plans across functional, data, integration, reporting, security, change, testing and deployment workstreams.
  • Maintain clear ownership, due dates and acceptance expectations for deliverables.
  • Plan implementation waves, entity rollouts and transitions between phases.

Governance & Executive Reporting

  • Establish and operate steering committee, program leadership and workstream governance.
  • Prepare concise reporting on progress, budget, milestones, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies and readiness.
  • Maintain decision logs, action registers, RAID logs and change-control records.
  • Present options, impacts and recommendations for significant decisions.
  • Escalate material risks and unresolved decisions early.

Scope, Schedule & Budget Management

  • Maintain approved scope and schedule baselines.
  • Assess change requests with the Business Specialist Lead, technical leads, process owners and implementation partners.
  • Document impacts on budget, schedule, resources, operations, design and benefits.
  • Protect critical milestones while enabling informed trade-off decisions.
  • Track approved changes through delivery, testing and acceptance.
  • Maintain budgets, forecasts, commitments, actual costs and financial reporting.
  • Identify forecast variances, financial pressures and contingency needs.

Resource & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate internal resources, subject-matter experts, contractors, implementation partners, Microsoft and solution providers.
  • Maintain a resource plan covering skills, availability, competing priorities and capacity risks.
  • Hold partners accountable for resources, deliverables, quality, knowledge transfer and contractual commitments.
  • Resolve delivery conflicts and clarify responsibilities across teams.
  • Support effective onboarding and collaboration across distributed teams.

Risk, Quality & Readiness Management

  • Lead identification, mitigation and escalation of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
  • Ensure deliverable quality through defined review, approval and acceptance processes.
  • Coordinate recovery plans when milestones or quality expectations are at risk.
  • Track dependencies involving data, integrations, environments, security, reporting, testing and readiness.
  • Capture lessons learned and apply them to later phases and rollout waves.

Testing, Deployment & Change Coordination

  • Coordinate integrated testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage and sign-off schedules.
  • Develop the integrated cutover plan with business, technical and partner leads.
  • Lead readiness reviews covering people, process, data, technology, support and operational continuity.
  • Coordinate command-centre and hypercare planning and transition to support.
  • Ensure closure includes acceptance, documentation, knowledge transfer and benefits ownership.
  • Maintain stakeholder and communication plans with change and communications resources.
  • Support business participation in workshops, decisions, testing, training and readiness activities.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Degree or diploma in business, information technology, project management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Progressive experience managing large, complex business or technology transformations.
  • Experience delivering a major ERP implementation, preferably Microsoft D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management or Dynamics AX.
  • Experience with multi-workstream, multi-entity or global programs involving third-party teams.
  • Strong experience in planning, governance, budget management, risk management, change control and executive reporting.
  • Experience managing systems integrators, statements of work, partner deliverables and commercial relationships.
  • Working knowledge of process design, data migration, integrations, testing, cutover, hypercare and transition to support.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, finance, agriculture, life sciences or regulated operations is considered an asset.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or comparable project management certification is considered an asset.
