Joining us as a Data & AI Governance Consultant (Mid-Senior), you will contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of data governance practices that enhance data quality, support regulatory compliance, and enable the responsible adoption of AI.

Working at the intersection of technology, business, and governance, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business needs and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solutions. You will help organizations establish trusted data assets, improve data management processes, and develop the foundations for transparent and responsible AI.

As a Data & AI Governance Consultant (Mid-Senior), you will:

  • Implement data governance solutions: Support the configuration and administration of governance platforms such as IBM Knowledge Catalog, Collibra, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Develop governance policies and processes: Contribute to policies and procedures covering data classification, access control, data ownership, and responsible data usage.
  • Manage metadata and trusted data assets: Help maintain data catalogs, business glossaries, data lineage, metadata models, and data stewardship practices.
  • Support data quality and compliance: Define and monitor data quality rules and metrics, identify data management issues, and contribute to compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations and standards.
  • Contribute to AI governance initiatives: Support the implementation of governance practices addressing AI transparency, model traceability, fairness, explainability, accountability, and auditability.
  • Document governance requirements: Prepare functional documentation, process descriptions, and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) to translate business and technical requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Enable governance adoption: Assist in preparing training materials, onboarding users, and communicating governance processes to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, IT teams, and business stakeholders to support the delivery of effective and sustainable governance solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data management processes, governance workflows, and the quality and accessibility of enterprise data.

What would make you a fit for the role:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or a related area.
  • Practical exposure to data governance platforms such as IBM Knowledge Catalog, Collibra, or Microsoft Purview.
  • A good understanding of data catalogs, metadata management, data quality, data lineage, data ownership, and data stewardship.
  • Familiarity with data privacy requirements, particularly GDPR, and the principles of regulatory compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments, ideally IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • A structured, proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively within a project team.

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

  • Certifications or training in data governance platforms, such as IBM, Microsoft Purview, or Collibra, or familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK and the DAMA CDMP framework.
  • Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data or similar enterprise data management platforms.
  • An understanding of AI governance principles, including model explainability, bias detection, transparency, and accountability.
  • Exposure to Responsible AI frameworks and tools, such as IBM Watson OpenScale or Microsoft's Responsible AI solutions.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and the ability to read, interpret, or work with SQL queries.
  • Experience preparing Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), business requirements, or technical process documentation.
