Data Analyst

We are seeking a Data Analyst to work in our Toronto office providing support to our management staff in the administration of group insurance and self-funded health benefits and both defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans. The successful candidate will play a role in data management, data analysis, and reporting metrics.

The Data Analyst will:

• Generate data exports and reports by developing queries to retrieve data from the databases and ensuring data quality and assurance
• Perform data analysis to present meaningful representation of data for the management and executive team
• Ad-hoc data integrity cleanup projects as required

To be successful as a Data Analyst with People Corporation, you will need:

• 2-3 years of experience in an analyst role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience organizing and managing data with Microsoft Excel. (Advanced level user of Excel)
• Proficient knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Database management experience
• User Acceptance testing and data conversion experience an asset
• Recent and significant experience working collaboratively with business partners to understand, analyze, and articulate data requirements and recommend solutions, gained while working in the financial services industry.

The McAteer Group of Companies has provided leadership in consulting, administration and governance advisory services for group health and pension plans since 1980. McAteer provides third-party advisory and administration services for over 200,000 plan members and beneficiaries. We are authorized claims payors for several major insurance companies; we provide administration services to plans that are local, provincial, and national in scope.

The base salary for this position is between $60,000 - $70,000 annually.

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to provide additional details of the total compensation for this role.
