Job Description This is a remote position. JOB SUMMARY: Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team and support Federal Agency project centered around Data Management and Analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, validating financial models, and providing actionable insights to enhance decision-making processes across the federal agency. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and expertise in data visualization tools. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing recommendations for business improvements. • Validate financial models, charts, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards. • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to communicate findings effectively. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support initiatives in data governance and quality management. • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation activities to ensure high-quality input for analytics and reporting. • Conduct regular quality control checks on financial monitoring products and reports to ensure data integrity and reliability. • Prepare clear and concise documentation of analysis methodologies and findings, as well as presentations for stakeholders. • Stay informed about emerging trends in data analysis, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities continuously. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis in a public sector of federal government setting. • Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages, particularly SQL and Python. • Strong experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI, to create compelling visual reports. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or another related field REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: None Required OTHER: • U.S. Citizenship is Required. • Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
