Collo, a Finnish deep-tech company, is looking for a Data Analyst or an Engineer to produce insightful analytics for well-known customers. This is a fixed-term parental leave cover, with the possibility to discuss continuing in the role after the fixed-term contract ends.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will join Collo’s Service team in a role that combines customer-facing analytics with hands-on development of the tools, pipelines, and automated workflows that make analytics more scalable and efficient.

Your responsibilities will include direct customer data analysis, visualisation, and reporting, as well as improving existing analysis pipelines, developing automated data processing, and designing scalable analysis workflows. You will work with industrial measurement and time-series data, turning it into actionable insights for Collo’s customers.

Your work will include participating in customer meetings, identifying analytics needs and problems in customers’ processes as well as developing solutions to these problems. You will conduct hands-on data analysis and communicate your findings to the customers. At the same time, you will develop and improve the underlying data processing and analysis solutions to reduce manual work. Python will be your main tool for data processing, analysis, and development.

You will also use tools such as PowerPoint and Power BI to visualise and communicate insights.

In addition to customer-facing analytics, you will work closely with Collo’s Data & AI team. This collaboration may include preparing industrial measurement data for machine learning and AI applications, working with industrial IoT data, and contributing to shared data development topics across the organisation.

This role is a combination of data analysis and engineering, offering independent responsibility, technical problem-solving, and collaboration with both customers and internal experts. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys not only analysing data but also developing better ways to process, automate, and utilise it.

We are looking for a data professional with a few years of relevant experience who is comfortable working independently with data and wants to deepen their expertise in data engineering and analytics. You enjoy solving technical problems but are equally comfortable discussing data and its implications with customers and other stakeholders.

We require you to have:

• A relevant degree in information technology, computer science, data analytics, or a related field
• A few years of professional experience in data processing, ideally in data analytics
• Strong Python skills
• Experience working with time-series data
• Experience with MS Office tools; experience with Power BI is preferred
• Experience using AI-centred tools, such as Claude Code and Codex, as part of your daily work
• Professional working proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

• Experience working with databases
• Experience with Azure or other cloud environments
• Experience with measurement devices, process automation and/or the food and beverage industry
• Finnish language skills

Practicalities:

This is a full-time, fixed-term parental leave cover, currently estimated to run from November 2026 until October 2027, and you will be employed directly by Collo. There may be an opportunity to discuss continuing at Collo after the fixed-term contract, depending on the company’s needs and available opportunities at that time.

Collo’s office is located in Tampere, and most of the team works regularly from the office. We therefore hope you are able to work on-site as agreed and depending on your responsibilities, while flexible remote work is also possible.

The salary range for the position is approximately 3500-4500 € / month, depending on your experience. If you are a more experienced candidate and feel that your salary expectations fall outside the indicated range, we would still be happy to hear from you and discuss your expectations.
