Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Vantaa, Finland

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Contract Length: 12 months (option to extend!)

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote

Rate: Dependent on Experience

The Role

• Design electrical systems and schematics for production machinery and industrial equipment used within the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Produce detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
• Select and dimension electrical and automation components in accordance with project and customer requirements.
• Design electrical cabinets, control panels, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Support projects from concept design through manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers, project teams, and customers throughout the design process.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support standardisation of design practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering, or a similar role.
• Proven experience using EPLAN is essential, as well as, Strong experience using AutoCAD.
• Experience designing production machinery, automated equipment, or industrial systems.
• Background in electrical schematics, cabinet design, and technical documentation.
• Experience with automation systems, PLCs, drives, and industrial control systems is advantageous.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach to engineering challenges.
• Fluent English and Finnish language skills are required.
