Job Summary As the Data Analyst Intern, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and document the organization's data reporting needs, data policies, and definitions. Job Description We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to support data governance, reporting, and analytics initiatives that help drive informed business decisions across the organization. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with business stakeholders, documenting data processes, analyzing datasets, and contributing to enterprise data management and reporting efforts.The internship dates are June 7, 2027 through August 6, 2027 . This internship is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week . Candidates must be available during core business hours (8:30 a.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. EST) for the entire 9-week duration of the program. Please note that all work must be performed within the United States. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. What You'll Do Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and document the organization's data reporting needs, data policies, and data definitions Evaluate existing business processes and workflows, understand data management and data governance frameworks, and identify opportunities for improvement Derive data taxonomy from documented business processes to support the development of Data Services SOP playbooks and data hierarchies Develop and maintain documentation, including data glossaries, report summaries, process maps, and technical specifications Develop and maintain consistent models and templates for documenting business and reporting requirements Support testing and validation of reports to ensure they meet business needs and quality standards Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights Help improve data literacy across the organization and support the adoption of data-driven decision-making practices What You'll Need Required: Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics or a related field Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher Data analysis skills with the ability to perform analysis independently Strong understanding of data governance concepts and experience documenting processes, workflows, and data definitions Interest in learning business operations and organizational data to become an effective data partner Preferred: Knowledge of data modeling concepts Exposure to reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor EEO Statement CAI is committed to equal employment opportunity.
