About Us:
Now part of WGSN — the world's leading trend forecaster — IWSR is the global authority on beverage alcohol data and intelligence. For over 50 years, the world's leading drinks businesses have relied on IWSR as an integral part of their strategic planning and decision-making.
We're unique in how we work: combining proprietary longitudinal market data, consumer insights, and AI-enhanced data science with genuine on-the-ground human intelligence across 160 markets. That combination is what lets us tell our clients not just what the numbers say, but what's actually happening in the global beverage alcohol market.
Our clients span the full breadth of the industry — multinational spirits, beer, and wine producers; packaging and ingredient manufacturers; distributors; and financial institutions — all using our data to plan strategy and investment with confidence.
About the role
We’re looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our Data Ingestion team for five months. If you like numbers, notice when something doesn’t add up, and want to see how a global data product actually gets built and checked, this is a great place to start.
IWSR’s Global Database tracks the beverage alcohol market across 160 countries. Brands, distributors and investors use it to make big decisions, so the data behind it has to be right. You’ll help make sure it is.
What you’ll be doing
Reviewing incoming data requests and working with the Data Ingestion team and our Market Analysts to sort out anything non-standard
Helping ingest and process data into the Global Database using our tools and automated workflows
Supporting quality checks at country and global level, especially during our busiest cycles
Picking up data entry requests from Market Analysts and getting them done accurately and on time
Tracking support requests and keeping on top of where tasks and workflows are up to
Helping write support and training documentation for the wider team
What we’re looking for
A degree (or close to finishing one) and a high level of numeracy
Comfortable working with large volumes of quantitative data
Strong Excel skills (advanced is a bonus), plus Word and PowerPoint
Real attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
Good research skills, online and offline
Organised, able to juggle several things at once and hit deadlines
Clear written and spoken English
Someone who enjoys a fast-paced, informal and friendly team
London (Hybrid) | Fixed term: 1 December 2026 to 30 April 2027
