At peopleworth, we support work where people and performance thrive. As part of our Employer Group, we work with a variety of forward-thinking partners and are excited to share this opportunity that sits within our growing group.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Instructor & Facilitator who combines practical data analytics experience with a strong ability to teach, explain, and support the development of others.

This remote, fixed-term, part-time opportunity is particularly suited to someone who has worked professionally with data and has also delivered teaching, technical training, workshops, tutoring, or structured learner support. You will help learners build confidence and capability by connecting data analytics concepts with practical examples, providing constructive feedback, facilitating live online sessions, and supporting individuals through challenges.

The role is expected to require approximately 4 to 6 hours per week on average, with additional time potentially required during assignment grading periods.

  • Demonstrated professional experience working in data analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching, training, tutoring, facilitating, mentoring, or coaching others in data analytics, technology, or another technical subject.
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt explanations for people with different levels of prior knowledge.
  • Practical experience applying data analytics concepts in real workplace or project environments.
  • Experience delivering structured learning sessions, workshops, classes, tutorials, or technical training is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess work and provide constructive feedback that helps learners understand both what needs improvement and how to improve it.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including confidence facilitating groups in an online environment.
  • Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that encourages questions, participation, and independent thinking.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, particularly when balancing live teaching, learner support, community engagement, and assignment feedback.
  • A flexible and problem-solving approach with the ability to adapt teaching and facilitation methods to learner needs.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate interactive live online classes that explain data analytics concepts clearly and connect learning to practical workplace applications.
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning discussions that accommodate learners with different levels of confidence, experience, and technical understanding.
  • Use practical examples from your own data analytics experience to demonstrate how concepts, tools, and approaches are applied in professional environments.
  • Mark learner assignments and provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback that supports both technical development and independent problem-solving.
  • Facilitate online community discussions by responding to questions, sharing relevant resources, reinforcing key concepts, and encouraging learner participation.
  • Provide structured one-to-one learner support where additional explanation, guidance, or encouragement is required.
  • Identify areas where learners may be struggling with concepts and adapt explanations or examples to improve understanding.
  • Participate in selected industry discussions and share practical perspectives on working in data analytics.
  • Set clear expectations around learning activities, project timelines, workload, and available support.
  • Collaborate with relevant delivery and learner-support colleagues to communicate learner progress, challenges, and areas where additional intervention may be helpful.

Collaborative, people-centred performance culture.

Opportunities to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Opportunity to combine practical data analytics expertise with teaching and professional development.
