Data Annotation Analyst

Role Overview

A partner company is seeking a Data Annotation Analyst based in the United Arab Emirates.

The role creates ground-truth datasets used to train and validate perception models for autonomous and operator-assisted machines.

The work involves camera imagery, video, and LiDAR point clouds with specialized annotation tools.

Accountabilities

• Annotate 2D and 3D objects including vehicles, machinery, people, signage, and environmental features.
• Create segmentation, object tracking, pose, and keypoint annotations across visual sequences.
• Apply specifications covering class definitions, occlusion rules, thresholds, and inclusion or exclusion criteria.
• Review completed work, respond to QA feedback, and meet quality and accuracy standards.
• Escalate ambiguous scenes, sensor artifacts, tooling problems, and gaps in annotation specifications.
• Document data quality and tooling issues with reproducible steps.
• Participate in calibration sessions, guideline reviews, and team standups.
• Share edge cases that improve annotation guidelines, taxonomies, and documentation.
• Maintain expected production volume while preserving annotation accuracy and consistency.
  
  

Core Requirements

• Strong attention to detail during repetitive, visually intensive work.
• Strong spatial reasoning for interpreting 3D environments and object relationships.
• Ability to learn specialized software and use productivity features efficiently.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with defined productivity, quality, or accuracy targets.
• Experience with image annotation or GenAI data workflows.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a distraction-free workspace.
• Ability to work on a company-provided machine in a controlled technical environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• An associate or bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Experience with image, video, LiDAR, or 3D annotation tools is preferred.
• Background in surveying, GIS, construction, mining, agriculture, industrial operations, or heavy equipment is advantageous.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar technical design tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with point clouds, sensor fusion, camera-LiDAR calibration, autonomous vehicles, robotics, or machine perception datasets is preferred.
