Senior Director

Role Description The Senior Director role is a part-time, remote position responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for WAM Morocco 2027. The Senior Director will guide overall event strategy, define key priorities, and support the development of thematic tracks across advanced manufacturing, future mobility, and green energy. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with internal teams and partners, reviewing and approving program content, and advising on stakeholder engagement, sponsorship opportunities, and market positioning. The role also involves monitoring planning milestones, assessing risks, and ensuring alignment with the event’s vision and objectives. The Senior Director will regularly report on progress, provide thought leadership, and support decision-making that drives the success and global relevance of WAM Morocco 2027.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles within events, conferences, or industry initiatives, ideally in advanced manufacturing, mobility, or energy.
• Strong strategic planning, program development, and stakeholder management capabilities, with a track record of delivering complex, multi-partner projects.
• Proven ability to work remotely and part-time while maintaining clear communication, timely decision-making, and effective collaboration across international teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills such as French or Arabic are an advantage.
• Familiarity with African or international industrial and mobility ecosystems, including emerging technologies and sustainability trends, is highly beneficial.
• Advanced degree in business, engineering, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• High level of integrity, inclusive leadership style, and commitment to non-discriminatory, diverse, and equitable practices.
