Who We Are
At MAS Global Consulting, we are a premium digital engineering partner trusted by innovative startups and Fortune 100 companies, delivering high-impact solutions through agile delivery, deep technical expertise, and a strong people-first culture across the Americas.
We build long-term partnerships, not just software. MAS means "more" in Spanish, and that mindset drives our commitment to greater opportunity, inclusion, and impact.
Founded by a Latina engineer from Medellín and headquartered in Tampa, Florida, MAS Global Consulting is a 100% Hispanic and woman-owned company, recognized as a Great Place to Work and one of the Fastest-Growing Companies in the US.
Who You Are
You are a senior Data Architect who will own the technical design of a governed data platform on Microsoft Fabric for a US-based industrial manufacturer. The client runs on more than a dozen systems with no shared keys between them. The platform has two parts: a medallion lakehouse for analytics in Power BI, and a master data hub that keeps one golden record per key entity and syncs corrected values back to the operational systems. The first domain is Workforce: one trusted employee record across Workday HCM, payroll, Epicor ERP and the physical security system.
You lead a small team, a Data Engineer and a Power BI Developer. You turn the client's data ownership into rules the platform applies, and you explain decisions in business terms to IT, business owners and leadership. The role is remote from LATAM with US time-zone overlap, client-facing through MAS Global.
What You'll Do
- Define the Fabric architecture: environments, one lakehouse with bronze, silver and gold schemas, and the master data hub in a Fabric SQL database.
- Design the enterprise data model, and classify each entity as master data or domain data.
- Design the Employee master: golden record, cross-reference of every system ID, attribute lineage and audit.
- Define the matching rules (shared ID, exact and probabilistic, plus blocking), with thresholds the business can tune in configuration tables.
- Turn system ownership into survivorship rules per attribute. For example, Workday wins job and compensation data and Epicor wins labor rates.
- Design the stewardship model and the sync back to Epicor, payroll and security, through Fabric pipelines or MuleSoft.
- Secure sensitive employee data with Entra ID and row-level security.
- Set the engineering standards: Git, deployment pipelines, tests built from known match cases, and documentation.
- Lead the build-vs-buy evaluation for MDM.
What You Bring
- 8+ years in data, including 3+ as architect or technical lead on Azure.
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, or deep Synapse or Databricks on Azure plus active Fabric adoption.
- Designed a medallion architecture in production.
- MDM or entity resolution design: matching without shared keys, survivorship, stewardship.
- Data modeling for Power BI and for operational hubs.
- Integration patterns: APIs, file extracts, and write-back to source systems.
- Hands-on MuleSoft experience designing integrations.
- Governance and security for sensitive data.
- English C1, comfortable presenting to executives.
Nice to Have
- Profisee, Informatica MDM or Reltio.
- Workday, payroll or Epicor data.
- Microsoft Purview.
- Manufacturing data.
- DP-600, DP-700 or AZ-305 certification.
