Job Description – Data Architect

Role purpose

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to define and drive our data architecture strategy, ensuring a scalable, secure, and future-proof data landscape aligned with business objectives.

Working arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week on site min)

Location: Zuid-Holland

Language: Dutch (required)

Contract duration: 6-12 months

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture and roadmap.
• Design scalable data models, platforms, and integration solutions.
• Establish data architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
• Provide architectural guidance to data engineers and IT teams.
• Translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.

Required experience

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar senior role.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, data integration, and data platforms.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strategic mindset combined with solid technical expertise.
