The Opportunity

Reliable Security Staffing is seeking a meticulous Data Collection Specialist to support our security operations and intelligence workflows. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and actionable quality of the data that drives our security decision-making and client reporting. You will be the frontline of data integrity. Collecting, validating, and transforming raw information into the precise intelligence our teams and clients rely on.

What You’ll Own

• Execute Data Collection Protocols: Conduct structured data gathering from security systems, monitoring platforms, and incident reports, ensuring strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Validate and Verify Accuracy: Review collected data for completeness, consistency, and correctness; flag anomalies and resolve discrepancies before they reach downstream systems.
• Maintain Documentation Standards: Log all collection activities, update tracking tools, and maintain clear, audit-ready records of data provenance and processing steps.
• Support Reporting Pipelines: Prepare datasets for analysis and client reporting; generate summaries and basic visualizations that communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with security operations, intelligence analysts, and client services to understand data requirements and deliver against timelines.

What You Bring

• Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in data collection, data entry, research operations, or a related analytical role
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and comfort learning proprietary data platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in security, intelligence, or monitoring operations environments
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools or basic reporting platforms
  • Exposure to quality assurance or compliance-driven workflows
