We're looking for experienced Data Consultants who combine strong data expertise with a pragmatic consulting approach. You'll work with clients and delivery teams to design, deliver, and support modern data solutions spanning data engineering, integration, migration, analytics, governance, and cloud data platforms. You'll help organisations modernise their data environments, strengthen their data capabilities, and achieve measurable business outcomes.
You'll be equally comfortable contributing to technical delivery, engaging with client stakeholders, solving complex problems, and supporting business development activities. Most importantly, you'll know how to translate business needs into practical, high-quality solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
What you will do
- Deliver data migration, modernisation, and platform solutions across data engineering, integration, analytics, governance, and cloud data services.
- Work with clients and project teams to analyse requirements, solve technical challenges, and contribute to workshops and solution design activities.
- Design, develop, test, and implement data solutions that meet client objectives, delivery requirements, and quality expectations.
- Support business development through proposal contributions, technical solution development, and identifying opportunities for new work.
- Contribute to engagement delivery, financial management, and the development of solution offerings and intellectual property.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members while continuing to build your expertise across data technologies, delivery methods, and consulting practices.
What we are looking for
- Experience delivering data platform, data engineering, data migration, integration, analytics, or data governance projects within consulting or enterprise environments.
- Experience with modern data and cloud technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Fivetran, Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of cloud-hosted applications, managed platform services, systems integration, and enterprise technology solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a collaborative environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, technical certification, or equivalent practical experience.
What will make you successful
At Tenzing, technical expertise is only part of the equation. Our most successful consultants combine strong delivery capability with the ability to build trusted relationships, navigate complexity, and deliver value for clients.
You'll demonstrate:
- Consulting mindset – able to understand client challenges, provide trusted advice, and contribute to successful outcomes.
- Technical expertise – applying specialist data knowledge to design and deliver practical, high-quality solutions across data platforms, engineering, integration, migration, analytics, and governance.
- Problem solving and initiative – proactively identifying issues, investigating options, and driving solutions through to completion.
- Collaboration and leadership – building strong relationships with clients and colleagues while supporting the development of others.
- Commercial awareness – understanding client priorities, delivery risks, quality expectations, and business outcomes.
- Adaptability and curiosity – embracing new technologies, continually developing skills, and contributing to innovation across the practice.
