We've been part of everyday life in the Nordics for more than 190 years. And we're just getting started.
At Orkla Home & Personal Care, we make products that people trust and reach for every day. Behind brands like Zalo, Jif, Lano, Dr. Greve, L300, Lumme, Grumme and many more, you'll find passionate people, a portfolio of trusted local brands with deep heritage, and a complete value chain – from innovation and production to the shelf. We're proud of our history, and excited about where we're heading – building better solutions for consumers, customers, and the planet.
Want to turn data into smarter decisions and better digital solutions?
At Orkla Home & Personal Care, technology, data and AI are helping us find smarter ways of working. We are now looking for a curious and hands-on problem-solver who enjoys connecting technology with real business needs.
You will join our Business Technology team and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop useful, reliable and scalable solutions. Together, we make data easier to understand, trust and use.
This is a permanent position based at our head office at Skøyen in Oslo.
What you will do
Data & Digital Solutions will be at the heart of your role. You will turn business needs into practical data solutions, automate manual work and help colleagues make better-informed decisions.
Power BI and Databricks will be central tools in your work. You will also help prepare data so that it can be reused across analytics, automation and AI initiatives.
You will:
- Turn business needs into reusable data products and governed self-service solutions.
- Build and test Power BI semantic models, intuitive dashboards and consistent KPI definitions.
- Connect solutions to our data platform and Databricks.
- Automate recurring reporting and reduce manual work.
- Help ensure data quality, security, access control and clear documentation.
- Work closely with business and technology colleagues to validate solutions and support successful adoption.
- Maintain and continuously improve existing data products and reporting solution
Who we are looking for
You may be a recent graduate, or you may already have experience in IT, digital development, data or analytics. What matters most is that you are curious, structured and motivated by creating solutions that are genuinely useful to others.
You enjoy understanding how a business works and translating needs into clear, practical solutions. You are comfortable exploring problems, asking questions and collaborating with people from different areas of expertise.
We believe you bring:
- Relevant higher education in IT, data, engineering, business analytics or a related field. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
- A foundation in data modelling and business logic, gained through studies, projects or previous work.
- Basic experience with Power BI, or a strong motivation to learn, including semantic modelling.
- An interest in data quality, governance and security.
- A structured approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate clearly with both business and technology colleagues.
- High proficiency in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, both spoken and written.
Experience with Databricks, modern data platforms, KPI definitions, reporting automation or data pipelines is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Why join Orkla Home & Personal Care?
We are proud of what we are building, and we believe you will be too. You will join a collaborative environment where you can keep learning, share ideas and contribute to solutions that make a real difference in colleagues’ everyday work.
