🚀 Data Engineer / Developer – Databricks, SQL & Data Quality 🚀

📍 Location: Romania (Remote) | Start Date: November 2026

📅 Project Duration: Initial short-term engagement.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Developer to support the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of an enterprise data quality platform.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Data Engineering, along with a solid understanding of data quality management, data processing, and software development.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance data processing solutions within an enterprise data platform.
• Develop, implement, and optimize Data Quality rules and validation processes.
• Design and improve data quality measurement and monitoring functionalities.
• Integrate new data sources into existing data processing workflows.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain and enhance data quality rule repositories.
• Optimize existing data processing workflows and improve platform performance.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to support the deployment of new functionalities.
• Provide technical support for complex issues and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain technical development documentation.

🔹 Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Software Development.
• Very good SQL skills, including complex queries, data analysis, and optimization.
• Practical experience with Databricks.
• Experience developing and optimizing data processing workflows.
• Experience with GitLab and version control systems.
• Knowledge of Data Quality Management and data validation processes.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

🔹 Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Data Platform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with Data Governance processes.
• Experience in the energy or utilities industry.
• German language skills.
