Take the lead in one of the most demanding data environments in the Banking sector. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a global consulting powerhouse and serve as a technical anchor for high-impact projects.
This role sits at the intersection of enterprise stability and cloud evolution. You will bridge trusted Microsoft on-premise architectures (MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS) with cutting-edge cloud engineering, actively migrating and scaling mission-critical banking data pipelines into a modern Azure Data Lake & Databricks ecosystem.
𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will initially immerse yourself in the bank’s data landscape, managing operations and enablement tasks.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS and advanced T-SQL.
• Maintain, optimize, and streamline existing MS SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS environments, ensuring zero-downtime and high data integrity for critical financial reporting.
• Build scalable batch and streaming pipelines leveraging Databricks (PySpark / Spark SQL) and Delta Lake patterns for high-throughput banking datasets.
• Drive performance tuning on MS SQL Server databases (indexing, execution plans, partitioning, query optimization) in high-volume banking environments.
• Ensure data governance, data lineage, security, and integrity across mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to migrate legacy processes to modern cloud data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
What we are looking for:
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, BI Development, or Database Administration.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL and in-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server internals (stored procedures, views, performance profiling).
• Proven track record designing and supporting production ETL workflows using SSIS.
• Hands-on experience or working familiarity with Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse, or Azure SQL DB).
• Domain background in Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services (core banking, loan/credit data models, or regulatory reporting frameworks).
• Solid grasp of relational and dimensional data modeling (Kimball methodology, star/snowflake schemas).
• Excellent analytical mindset, attention to data accuracy, and proactive troubleshooting skills.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
What’s in it for you:
• Competitive remuneration package.
• Hybrid work model.
• Private health insurance.
• Continuous training and exposure to global best practices.
