At tem࣭ we are re-imagining the way we all buy and sell electricity by bringing us closer together through more direct transactions - a marketplace providing effortless access to true, traceable, renewable energy with increased value for all. The current way we purchase energy is broken. Energy is passed through numerous intermediaries, traders, & and brokers, each taking their cut and making the cost of energy more expensive and the transmission more complex. Tem's AI marketplace is eliminating all of that by bringing renewable energy generators next to the businesses that use their energy. The result is reduced prices for the consumer, increased profit for the renewable energy providers, and a faster transition to renewable energy Who we are looking for We are looking for a data engineer to help us build solutions for managing data produced by forecasting and matching systems as well as pipelines to gather and standardise various data points across the industry for use in our core product process. The data covers a number of different aspects of the energy industry from pricing to usage to fees and is accessed/stored in various formats from standardised APIs to SFTPs to inconsistent Excel files. The main tasks are around processing, aggregating and standardising the data format in a warehouse or data lake so that it can be accessed and used by our main processes in our core product. We are specifically looking for someone who has a strong knowledge in building scalable solutions using AWS Cloud, can work independently in a remote environment and has a background in software engineering. Were looking for a specialist, someone who can propose different approaches and advice on the best solution. This role is only available to those based in the UK. Tech Stack: AWS Cloud Python3 with pandas Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless technology: Lambda, S3, Glue, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, EB The key requirements for this role are: Fluent in Python3 Experience working with AWS, especially Serverless Experience building data solutions: pipelines, warehouse, data lakes Experience with systems design and orchestration UK-based contract Please note this role is only available to those based in the UK.
