ABOUT THE ROLE Compal is a leading innovator dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and delivering advanced solutions to our clients. We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer who processes and analyzes large-scale datasets to improve software performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering within the automotive industry. This role will contribute to developing high-performance, high robustness and high reliability far-infrared (FIR) sensors and innovative AI solutions for implementing advanced safety vehicles in the next generation. Key Responsibilities Data analysis, management, and data utilization of ADAS/AD Software Verification and Validation of the AI algorithm performance and characteristic and KPI measurements Defining the experimental design, sample size, and validation conditions Plan for managing and organization of the data collection and database Support data collection activities and creating corner cases for improving AI algorithms Statistical analysis, results reporting, and creating improvement proposals Creation of AI training dataset, improvement, and quality enhancement Collaborate with other departments to promote “KAIZEN” in data management and utilization. Qualifications: Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering Experience in ADAS systems development or embedded Linux development Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis Experience in developing or evaluating image recognition AI systems (object detection and 3D depth estimation, tracking, fusion) Leadership ability to manage challenges Native-level Japanese speaker.
