About the Company

Revature builds and deploys technology talent for enterprise and federal clients across the United States. The company hires engineers directly, invests in specialized training at its own cost, and places them on client engagements where they contribute to real projects.

About the Role

Revature is hiring experienced Data Engineers for a large-scale Databricks platform implementation supporting federal government programs in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. The client is one of the world's largest technology and consulting firms.

This is a full-time, paid W-2 position with Revature, not a bootcamp or unpaid training program. The role begins with ten weeks of full-time, paid Databricks specialization delivered remotely, with training and certification exam costs covered by Revature. After training, you will join the client engagement on-site in the DC metro area while remaining a Revature employee. Training is expected to begin in late September 2026, with client deployment planned for approximately December 2026.

How the Role Works

Weeks 1–10: Complete full-time, paid Databricks training remotely while employed by Revature with full benefits. There is no training cost or repayment obligation for you.

Certification: Earn the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate and Professional certifications, with exam costs covered by Revature.

Client Deployment: After completing the program, work on-site with the client team in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area as a full-time Revature employee.

Long-Term Engagement: This is a long-term client assignment. The client may offer direct employment in the future, but this is a possibility rather than a guarantee or near-term expectation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver production-grade cloud data platform implementations.
  • Develop and maintain data engineering solutions using Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark, with exposure to Databricks.
  • Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, change data capture processes, and streaming solutions.

  • Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies to support reliable releases.
  • Contribute to solution design and architectural decisions.
  • Lead technical implementation activities and mentor other engineers as needed.
  • Support the development of a large-scale Databricks platform for federal government programs through the client engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
  • Experience delivering multiple production-grade cloud data platform implementations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark, with some exposure to Databricks.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, change data capture, streaming, data governance, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
  • Experience contributing to solution design and architectural decisions.
  • Experience leading technical implementation activities and/or mentoring engineers.
  • At least one Associate-level or higher certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area from the start of the client engagement, expected around December 2026. Candidates willing to relocate to the DC area are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of a client engagement subject to a background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience with Delta Lake or Lakehouse architectures.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery.
  • Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive pay starting on the first day of training, with compensation discussed early in the hiring process.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Databricks training and certification costs covered by Revature.
