Job Title: Data Entry Agent
Monthly Pay: $4,441 - $6,239 USD per month
Summary:
Accurate entries, consistent formatting, and complete correction notes define good work in this contract Data Entry Agent role. You enter and verify business directory information and reference tables so colleagues can use dependable information in everyday administrative tasks. The role sits within an administrative support team, works under an administrative team lead, and collaborates with requesters and quality reviewers to resolve unclear entries. This is a fully remote position offering work from home in Colorado, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive assigned data entry requests through a shared work queue, review instructions, and confirm the source information and destination fields before starting.
- Check incoming business names, business contact details, reference codes, and category labels for missing information, inconsistent formatting, or obvious duplicate entries.
- Enter approved information into a database platform such as Airtable, matching each source value to the correct field without changing its intended meaning.
- Apply established capitalization, spacing, date, and numeric formats, using provided examples to keep entries consistent across related tables and assigned work batches.
- Compare completed entries against source information, checking spelling, number sequences, field placement, and required values before marking an assignment ready for review.
- Identify possible duplicates using established matching criteria, flag uncertain matches, and avoid removing or combining entries without direction from the administrative team lead.
- Ask requesters for missing or unclear details through approved communication channels, noting the question and keeping incomplete assignments separate from completed work.
- Escalate conflicting instructions, recurring entry errors, or access problems to the administrative team lead, explaining the issue and the work affected.
- Apply reviewer feedback, correct identified mistakes, and add concise completion notes so the next person can understand changes without repeating earlier checks.
- Meet quality standards measured through entry accuracy, turnaround, complete notes, and timely follow-up, then update queue status and hand off unresolved items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required; related data entry or administrative experience preferred, including practice transferring information accurately between clearly labeled fields.
- Familiarity with database applications, field types, table layouts, and simple search or filter functions used to locate and compare individual entries.
- Understanding of data verification, duplicate detection, and data standardization, with the ability to follow written examples rather than make unsupported assumptions.
- Comfortable with accurate keyboard entry, basic numeric checks, and sustained screen-based review of repetitive information while maintaining consistent accuracy throughout assigned work.
- Clear written communication for asking focused questions, explaining discrepancies, and providing concise updates to requesters, reviewers, and the administrative team lead.
- Ability to follow access instructions, keep assigned information private, and use only approved channels when sharing work-related questions or completed entries.
- A reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace, plus availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully remote work from home within Colorado, with desk-based responsibilities and no travel duties.
- Structured onboarding and training on a database platform such as Airtable, entry standards, verification steps, and correction procedures.
- Regular check-ins with the administrative team lead to discuss questions, review feedback, and reinforce consistent working methods.
- Opportunities to build data verification, database navigation, formatting, and written handoff skills through routine assignments.
- Benefits include health coverage, paid leave, a 401(k), maternity leave, and stipends.
