Data Entry Assistant
Part-Time, 20 hrs/week | Remote | Long-Term Contract
About the Role
Our client, a US-based company, is looking for a Data Entry Assistant to support an internal data migration project. The company currently works with two databases that don't connect to each other, and this role will transfer, organize, and verify records between them. Accurate, consistent data is essential for the team's day-to-day operations, so precision matters more than speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Transfer records manually from one database to another, following defined field mappings and instructions
- Verify that migrated data is complete and accurate, cross-checking against the original source
- Identify and flag duplicates, missing information, or inconsistencies between systems
- Keep a clear log of progress, issues found, and records pending review
- Follow established procedures consistently and ask questions when something is unclear
- Communicate progress and blockers to the team on a regular basis
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, high-accuracy work
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software quickly
- Ability to commit to 20 hours per week on a long-term basis
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup
- Nice to have: prior experience in data entry, administrative support, or record-keeping
- Nice to have: experience with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
Ideal Candidate
This role is a great fit for someone who is sharp, organized, and takes pride in getting the details right. You don't need years of experience, but you do need a strong work ethic and a positive, reliable attitude. You're comfortable with structured, repetitive tasks and stay focused even when the work is routine. You communicate clearly when something doesn't look right instead of guessing. You're looking for a stable, long-term role, not a short-term gig.
