Data Governance Specialist
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Data Governance and Data Strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Design and continuously improve the organization's data governance model, including roles, responsibilities and collaboration principles.
- Promote a data-driven culture by increasing awareness of the value of data and supporting business leaders in making effective use of it.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive Data Governance Framework covering data quality, security, availability and usage standards.
- Oversee the mapping of data sources and data flows across the organization.
- Support initiatives related to Data Integration, Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Lineage to ensure data consistency and transparency.
- Work with business teams to identify, access and effectively use available data and external data sources.
- Support initiatives leveraging data, analytics and AI to improve products, services and business processes.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience in Data Governance, IT, Business Analysis or a related area.
- University degree, preferably in IT, a technical field, economics, finance or a related discipline.
- Practical knowledge of data management tools and technologies, including cloud-based solutions.
- Experience planning and implementing data management or Data Governance initiatives within an organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- A high level of ownership, independence, responsibility and a goal-oriented approach.
- Strong business awareness and the ability to translate business needs into effective data-related solutions.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model from Poznań office, with 3 days on-site and 2 days remotely.
